CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗘 𝙄

Nikki looked at the two ladies standing before her, she could tell that they were frightened. She wondered why both of them were frightened although they tried to conceal it, well she wasn't scary, so why were they afraid?.

Genevieve and Lily stood in silence as they waited for their punishment, which never came.

"Ahem...." Nikki cleared her throat as she began to speak.

"Hi, my name is Nikki Wellington. What's yours? ". Nikki asked Genevieve and Lily.

"My name is Lily Warren" Lily said I'm a tiny voice.

"And mine is Genevieve Davidson".

"Wow, you've got beautiful names" Nikki said.

"Thanks" Genevieve and Lily both replied in 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯

"Mmm... It says here Lily that you're 24(𝘛𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 ) years old and you're from Iowa, you attended......... High school and you........... You're Genevieve right?, Your file says that you're 25(𝘛𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦) years and you're from Chicago. You attended ..... Middle school and then proceeded to.....High school and you.......". Nikki read the files on the two employees standing before her

. Nikki stood up and walked towards them and said "Can you keep secrets?."

They were both surprised, Secrets?, what for?. Genevieve couldn't believe the question Nikki had asked them .

"Sure we can" Lily replied.

Genevieve stared at Lily, seriously! she just bluntly answered such queer question.

"Well that's good, you both have the qualifications am looking for" Nikki said as she walked back to her chair.

"What qualifications?, And aren't you going to give us a suspension?" Genevieve asked.

Nikki looked at Genevieve with a surprised look on her face "Suspension?, What for?" Nikki couldn't believe they were asking for a suspension.

"We thought you were going to give us suspension for bumping into you in the Cafeteria" Lily blurted out.

So that was why they were frightened from the start. Well they're in for a surprise, Nikki thought.

"You can't be serious, am I that bad?. I certainly have no intention on suspending you infact 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙖 𝙅𝙤𝙗 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙔𝙤𝙪."

𝙰𝙶 𝙶𝚁𝙾𝚄𝙿 𝙾𝙵 𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙿𝙰𝙽𝙸𝙴𝚂

Adrien walked into the Boardroom majestically and took his seat at the Head of the meeting.

He didn't even apologize for coming late as he ordered for the meeting to commence.

His late arrival and his arrogance in not apologizing to the Directors fueled their anger as they began to murmur.

"Who does he think he is?, arrogant fool!."

"He thinks he's bigger than the Board Members."

"It's the Chairman's bad luck for having him for a Son, having him for a child is much worse."

"He thinks too highly of himself, such attitude is not suitable for the Chairman of our company."

"It's bad luck since he's the Heir and much worse since he's the acting Chairman in his Father's place."

"His brother would be much better, if only he wasn't foolish as to disassociate himself from the affairs of the Company."

Adrien clenched his fists as he listened to the Directors as they murmured among themselves.

"Directors did you hear the sound of parrots?" Adrien asked with a curious look.

"What parrots?, Where?" the Directors inquired.

"I can hear them, loud, noisy and annoying. They're disrupting the meeting" he said in a cold tone.

Immediately the Directors understood what he said and they kept quiet, the Meeting commenced afterwards.

"Sir, concerning Sunshine Corp, we think it's best not to sell it" a member of the Board said.

Most of the Board Members nodded in agreement, "We certainly cannot sell it as it will affect our Corporation" another member of the Board replied.

"Why keep something that has lost its value to you?. Sunshine Corp has no value to our Corporation and it'll be sold off and that's final.

"You simply cannot sell it off, what about the employees?, What will be their fate if you sell it?" a Board member asked.

"We will lay off the employees with the highest pay and we'll send those with smaller pays to other companies. And for others we'll settle them and they will leave" Adrien said as he knew he had planned it perfectly.

Manager Cyan, a member of the Board stood up and angrily pointed at Adrien and said "Your Father worked hard to build this Corporation but you're destroying it."

Adrien looked at him with an expression 𝘰𝘧 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 visible on his face.

"Funny that it's coming from you, me destroying what my Father built?. That's crazy, I'm only trying to protect his legacy and mind you it's people like you who are destroying this Corporation" Adrien said with anger.

Manager Cyan was taken aback, "What do you mean by that?" he asked.

Adrien looked at him, he smirked and then he said "𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙀𝘿!!!..... "
