CHAPTER SIXTEEN: The Birthday Gala

  Renee stared at the tall giant gate of the Johnston's mansion. She drove into the mansion past the stone walls of the mansion.  She drove to the garage in her mini SUV, the garage of the Johnston's mansion had a lot of cars in it. 

  Renee came down from her car and headed for the garage's exit, the  walls of the garage were painted with dark shades of white.

  She headed to the mansion, she passed the elegant grounds of the mansion adorned with flowers. When she was little she had always loved to stroll the amazing grounds of the mansion, sadly she had no time to do such now.

  She rang the doorbell and the polished adorned brown mahogany doors of the Kingston's mansion opened revealing a Butler dressed in black suit and trousers wearing a pair of white gloves. Mr.Phillipe the butler of the Johnston's mansion bowed and said "Good evening Miss, welcome home."

  Renee walked into the elegant hallway of the Kingston's mansion, scanning the entire place to see if any changes were made.

  "I see the house hasn't changed a bit nor have you Mr.Phillipe". Mr.Phillipe chuckled and said "Neither have you Miss, this way Miss" he said as he extends his hand to the stairs.

  "You know I can move around on my own, by the way where's everyone?" Renee asked. "Emm.. your parents are out, your brother is upstairs and...." 

  "And what?" She inquired but he was still quiet, "Wait!!, don't tell me that Emma isn't at home?" she asked.

  Mr.Phillipe looked down and bowed his head "Am sorry Miss but the young Miss wouldn't listen, she was pretty adamant that she had to go out".

  "Where's Felix?" Renee inquired.

   "Upstairs, in his room" Phillipe replied.

  "Well then i'll go take a bath and see him later, please do inform him of my arrival" she said and walked towards her room.

  "Okay Miss, I'll inform the young Master of your arrival and have your luggages moved to your room" with that he gave a slight bow and walked away while Renee headed for her room.

  Renee walked into her room shutting the peach colored door behind her, her room was just as she left it only that there wasn't any speck of dust in the room.

 She began to unpack her luggages, her phone rang and she picked up the phone and answered the call "Hi Renee, how are you doing and hope you arrived safely" Teresa said. The call was from Teresa, "Oh yes I did and am doing okay" Renee replied. "Oh anyway I've got to go see you later, bye.

  After unpacking she headed to the bathroom and took a bath. Minutes later she came out of the bathroom, she walked towards her wardrobe and picked a royal blue night gown with patterns of flowers on it, she changed into the night gown and headed to her brother's room.

  Felix as always was playing a video game when Renee entered his room. "Hi Sis" he said not looking in her direction. "I see you're playing videogames as always and you've probably forgotten how to greet your elder Sis, haven't you?" she walked over to where the video game was connected to and unplugged it.

  "Oh come on,you just made me lose the game now Theodore is gonna win, why do you have to be such a stick in the mud?".

  Renee walked over to where he sat and grabbed his game control pad, "Since you're gonna behave like this you can stay without playing for a whole evening" she walked towards the door.

  Felix stood up and ran to stop her "Please my game pad" he said. "No can't do" Renee replied. "Please I promise to be good and please don't tell Mom and Dad, pretty please" Felix said while attempting a puppy dog eyes. "Do you think I'll give you because of those eyes?, F.Y.I doesn't work on me."

  She was about to head out of the room when she heard the door bell, "Looks like a rebellious teenager decided to show up" she smirked knowing who the person was.
