𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙏𝙀𝙍 𝙏𝙒𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙔 𝙊𝙉𝙀: 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙏𝙔

The Board members filed out of the Board room, Nikki walked towards Manager Baek and blocked her path. 

  "A word Manager Baek..." she said with a smile, they both walked to some empty seats at the hallway.

  "Hey!!, Miss quirky face. You almost gave me a fright in there" Nikki said as she sat down with Manager Baek. " May I ask you a question?" she asked, "Go ahead" Manager Baek said coldly as she looked straight without blinking.

   Nikki thought hard of what to say, then she said coldly with a poisonous venom in her voice "Why did you do what you did in there?...".

  Manager Baek smirked a little then she quickly replaced it with a smile. "Why I did that has nothing to do with you, but know that the burdens of the company now lies on your shoulder. If you fail you lose everything, choosing your Personal Assistant and Secretary requires patience, don't rush. Take all the time you need, remember those who do not have patience cannot eat hot Porridge."

  Nikki looked at Manager Baek, why did she mention hot porridge for heavens sake. "Am supposed to find a PA and a Secretary in two weeks time thanks to you, and you expect me to sit down and have patience?"  Nikki said as tried to suppress her anger.

  Manager Baek stood up and said  "Do you know what this Company 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 about you?, You're seen as a spoilt brat, evil boss queen etc.". 

  "Hah! You also have yours, White haired witch, robot Manager etc. So what do you think of yours?"  Nikki said as she tried to prevent herself from laughing over the dumb nicknames.

  "Not bad, took me t𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺(20) long years to acquire those names but it took you less than a month in aquirring yours. Let me tell you something, how the workers think of you affects your ability to perform as their leader. So if the workers do not appreciate you as their leader, then you're bound to fail, have a good day Miss Nikki" with that Manager Baek left Nikki to ponder over what she said.

   An idea struck Nikki, she stood up immediately as she had an ultimate plan that'll help her in  managing her Father's Company.

  Genevieve and Lily sat together during lunch break, they were happy that they finally had the chance to escape from their stuffy departmental offices.

  "I can't believe the Heiress hasn't left already"  Genevieve said, "So why do you want her to leave?"  Lily inquired.

  "Because once lunch break is over we'll be confined to our department, not even allowed to come out for emergency. Thanks to her royal highness"  Genevieve said as she rolled her eyes.

  They were just about to look for a seat when they bumped into someone. Genevieve looked up speechless, after few minutes Lily spoke with a surprised expression "Oh my 𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚......... "

  "Excuse me Sir, your face resembles an unidentified picture of the Adams Group of companies Chairman. Are you the Chairman of the AG?, Or are you related to him?, You can tell me" the reporter shoved a Microphone into Adrien's face.

  Sweat beads began to form on Adrien's face, the very thing he tried to avoid had finally come. His heart beat increased with every passing moments, badump, badump. He needed to escape from the reporters, suddenly he got an idea and smiled mischievously.

  "Hey!, Look at that fancy car that just drove towards the Company's entrance. "

  "Huh, where?" the reporter turned to look at the Company's entrance but he couldn't sight the fancy Car, he turned to where Adrien was only to discover he wasn't there.

   Adrien ran as fast as his legs could move, Paparazzi are a pain in the neck. He stopped for a moment to breath. He'd never understand why his Father wanted their identity to be a secret.

  Adrien strode into the Company in a hurry, he was already late for an important meeting, how he got into the Company is a story for another day.

  The large glass doors of the Adams Group of Companies Board meeting room burst open as Adrien walked in with an air of Confidence and Power.

  The Board Members looked at him with anger in their eyes as though they were going to devour him for delaying the meeting.

  Adrien looked at the Directors, he could sense that they were seriously annoyed. He sat down majestically knowing that the show for the day hadn't begun yet.

  Lily couldn't believe who she saw , they had bumped into Miss Nikki, the Heiress to W.E.L International Group of Companies. What in the world is she doing in the Cafeteria?.

  Lily and Genevieve stood up and brushed their outfits, "We're truly sorry for bumping into you" they said as they apologized.

  Nikki looked at them for a minute, she couldn't help but feel drawn to the two ladies. Wait a minute, she needed a Personal Assistant and a Secretary, right?. She could try interviewing these ladies, maybe it's fate that made them bump into each other (𝘉𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘴).

 "You two, come with me" she said in a stern tone as she walked towards the entrance of the Cafeteria.

  The employees in Cafeteria began to murmur among themselves about the fate of Lily and Genevieve.

    "They're so done for" .

    "Ohhh, I wonder what punishment Miss Nikki is gonna give them".

     "Mmm... I smell trouble" an employee said to his colleagues.

   "I pity them greatly, this Heiress is surely going to fire them".

   "I heard that Miss Nikki is spoilt and arrogant, that she has no manners".

    "Ssshh!, be quiet. Don't you see she's over there" an employee said as she tried to shut up her fellow employees. 

   The employees from Lily's and Genevieve's department smiled mischievously, they were delighted that Lily and Genevieve had gotten into trouble. In their little minds they thought, finally good riddance. But they didn't know they were in for a little surprise.

  Lily and Genevieve walked into the elevator with Nikki, Nikki hits the button that goes to the top floor. The top floor is where the Chairman and Vice Chairman's offices are, their Secretaries and PAs offices are also on the top floor.

  "Ding" the elevator opened and they walked out of it towards the Chairman's office.

  Earlier on Nikki had announced to the Board that she'd like to use her Father's office as her own, she was opposed as always but later got their approval.

 She strode in and sat on the chair as she turned the chair towards the huge glass windows, with the chair's back facing Lily and Genevieve.

 Lily and Genevieve stood sheepishly as they didn't know what Nikki was going to do.

  "Do you know why I called you" Nikki said as she faced the window.

  "We certainly have no clue, Miss" Genevieve tried her best to stop her voice from shaking.

   They stood for a few minutes in silence until Nikki turned around and faced them.

  Nikki took a deep breathe a said  "𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙔𝙤𝙪..."
