"What?!" I exclaimed in surprise. "Yes," my grandmother replied calmly. "Actually, he's getting married to Sameen this Friday," my grandmother added. "How can he do that?" I exclaimed, unable to comprehend. "Didn't he consider the situation? How could he do this to Aunt Rubab?" I asked, feeling concerned. "Well, Rubab and Usman haven't been doing well for a while now. Your uncle has the right to remarry," my grandmother explained. "And what about Aunt Rubab? Is he going to divorce her?" I inquired. "No, according to Islam, he can have up to four wives at a time. He's not leaving your aunt, but he wants to marry Sameen," my grandmother clarified. "Okay, and what about Murtasim and Mursalin? Do they know? Are they okay with it?" I asked, wanting to understand the whole situation. "They know about it and are fine with it. They've seen their parents' troubled marriage, so they understand the importance of starting fresh," my grandmother assured me. I hung my overcoat on the nearby rack.
