"Not anymore. Soon you, your life and every breath of yours will belong only to me,"I shouted back, and without realizing, I accelerated the car. But then, I noticed her expressions suddenly change, and she frantically placed her cold and trembling hand on mine that was on the gear.
"Stop... the car," she said in a shivering tone. I was so confused by the sudden change in her behaviour that I didn't pay any attention to her request. I looked back at the road, slowing down the car, and glanced at her again when she lifted her face.
"Please... Stop... please," she pleaded with tear-filled eyes and a trembling voice. Her hand was still shaking as it held mine. Her whole body was trembling too. I shifted my gaze back to the road, pulled over to the side, and stopped the car.
As soon as I stopped, she stepped out of the car and immediately fell to the ground due to her trembling legs. I hurriedly got out of the car and rushed towards her. She was shaking uncontrollably.
Her face turned pale, and she began to breathe rapidly.I recognized the signs of a panic attack and quickly moved closer to her.
"Hey, look at me," I said softly, placing a gentle hand on her back, feeling her heart racing. "Are you okay?" I asked.
She looked at me with eyes filled with tears as she struggled to catch her breath. I guided her to take deep breaths, matching my own breaths with hers. "Inhale slowly... and exhale," I whispered while gently rubbing circles on her back, trying to provide comfort to her.
As soon as I felt her breathing was normalizing, I held her shoulders and gently lifted her off the ground onto her feet. I guided her to the side of the road and helped her sit on the footpath. The road was surrounded by a forest on both sides, with trees stretching as far as the eye could see. There were no cars or people around us. I turned my attention back to Saisha, who was still trembling but in a better position now. I noticed her injured hands from the fall on the uneven road. She had a few small scratches all over all her fingers and both of her palms along with a deeper cut on her right palm which was bleeding a bit. I immediately thought of getting water for her, but as I moved to get up, she grabbed my shirt near my heart and pulled me closer with her shaking hands. "Where... are you... where are you going?... please don't leave me here," she said in a trembling voice.
"Hey I am not going anywhere. I was just going to grab a water bottle for you." I tried to assure her that I wasn't leaving her alone. She looked at me with uncertain eyes, and I could sense the doubt in her gaze. "How about we both go sit in the car, and I'll get you some water to drink, hmm?" I suggested, hoping to convince her that I had no intention of leaving her alone. I understand that she doesn't trust me, but how could she think I'd abandon her in the middle of a forest with no signs of life?
She pondered my suggestion for a moment, then looked into my eyes and nodded, agreeing with me. "Okay," she whispered, her voice trembling. I helped her up and guided her to the passenger seat of the car. Once she was inside, I opened the back door and grabbed a water bottle that I had there. Then, I moved to the driver's seat and settled into the car. After getting situated, I offered her the water bottle I had fetched from the back seat.
She took the bottle from me and tried to open it, but her injured hand made it difficult for her. She looked at me with a pouty, red face, and it seemed like she was on the verge of tears again. I gently took the bottle back from her and opened it. She tried to grab it from me, but I didn't let her.
"Main pila deta hun paani."
(I will help you drink the water.)I offered to make her drink the water from my hands so she could drink without hurting her injured hands.
She hesitated for a moment, but then nodded her head. As she took a sip of the water, the soft sunlight seemed to caress her face, highlighting her features. My gaze was drawn to her lips, their allure heightened by the gentle curve and the way they delicately touched the rim of the water bottle. It was a captivating moment, filled with an unspoken connection that left me longing for more. At that moment I just wanted to capture her lips in a kiss.
' Fuck, you pervert. She just had a panic attack because of some shit you did.' A voice in my head mocked.
Once she was finished drinking the water, I closed the bottle and placed it on the back seat. I looked at her and then at her injured hands that were still trembling.
She was sitting quietly, too quietly, staring off into space, seemingly oblivious to the pain in her hands. It was as if she hadn't forgotten that I had kidnapped her just a few hours ago. Lost in her thoughts, she finally looked at me when I cleared my throat. Her expression changed, as if realization had suddenly struck her. Her face turned red, and she seemed embarrassed by the situation. I wanted to assure her that she didn't need to feel embarrassed, but I found myself unable to find the right words. Before I could say anything, she spoke, and what she said caught me completely off guard. It was the most unexpected thing.
