Chapter One: Worst Day.

One.

Im standing on the side of the street on a cold and wet day, calling for a taxi after having a long day of working at the fish and chip shop.

"TAXI" I screamed in anger as i'd be waiting for 10 mintues now,

finally a taxi pulled in and the driver quickly got out to grab my bags and put them in the boot.

I got in as fast as I could and I sit there totally drenched and cold but relieved to have the stress taken away.

The drive was quiet and seemed to got pretty fast as my house was an hour away from where I worked, when we arrived in front of my house I payed the driver and got out of the car then got my bags out of the boot.

I walked over to my front door and I was just about to get my keys when the door suddenly opens with a creaking sound.

I walk in to hear nothing but silence,

"Hello is anyone home?" I yelled. No one answered.

I power walked over to my mums sewing room which is normally where she always is, the room was empty.

"RAAAAA" a voice yells from behind me.

I jump in complete shock as I turn around to find my mum standing there, I still live with my mum because I can't afford my own house yet and also I just dont think im ready to leave her yet.

"Mum dont do that you really startled me!" I say in a firm voice.

"Oh Im sorry sweetie but you gotta admit that was pretty funny" she says giggling at me,

"Pfftt whatever mum" I mumble back as I walk over to the couch.

I plonk myself onto our maroon coloured couch and I lyed there for a good 10 mintues in complete silence just listening to mum ravaging around in the kitchen cuboards.

"How was your day at work Ashley?" Mum said breaking the silence I was enjoying,

"It was ok I guess" I reply back quietly with a guilty look on my face.

"You know Ash your a terrible liar, what happend?" Mum says as she walks over to me.

"Fine my day was shit ok, I got fired!" I yell in disapointment and anger.

"What you were so good at that job, why did they fire you?" She says back with a shocked look on her face.

" I really dont know mum, I was doing everything I normally do and at the end of the day they fired me beause im apparently slacking off!" I continue my rant, feeling annoyed. "Its so stupid, I was doing everything right, they are just so fussy, and now great, I have no job" I say back in an angry tone of my voice.

"Well dont worry about them, its their loss you will find another job" Mum says with a smile on her face, then she walks back to the kitchen and goes back to doing whatever she was doing.

After she left I walked to my bedroom and I sit on my bed for a while just listening to the birds singing in the trees,

then my phone starts to buzz and the song One Way Or Another plays, I pick it up and answer it

"Hello Ashley Speaking"

"Hey Ashley its Kevin can we meet up? I need to talk to you about something" Kevin is my boyfriend, ive been with him for almost a year now.

"Yeah sure, meet at the park in 10?" I reply to him,

"Ok thanks bye" and he hung up before I could say anything more.

I got off my bed and walked over to my wardobe and changed out of my old work clothes and into a pair of black tights, a hoodie and my most favourite pair of boots.

I didnt even check my hair or makeup because I was in a rush, I ran out of my room and out the front door, I ran down the street and all the way to the park where I was meeting Kevin.

I saw him near the swings and I could feel basically my hole body start to feel warm and excited cause I havent see him in a while,

I ran as fast as I could over to him and I then jumped into his arms, hugging him tight.

"Woah easy Ash, you have a strong grip you know" Kevin said sounding like he was being choked, I quickly let go,

"Oh sorry Kev ive just missed you" I say slightly blushing.

"Now what do you need to tell me?"

"Ugh-Um well I think we should break up, I thought it would work out but it doesn't feel like it is anymore, it lasted for almost a year which was longer than I thought it would last but I think we should move on now"

He says with a sad look on his face.

My eyes start to fill with tears and all I could see was water, I say nothing as I was too shocked and upset.

"Im so sorry Ash, I hope we can still be friends" Kevin cries as he puts his hand on my shoulder,

"Um ok" I mumble trying not to burst into tears, "I guess I'll see you around then."

"Yeah alright" he replies with a soft, sad voice, he then turns around and walks off.

I stand there as I watched the guy I love walk away from me, I suddenly feel bare and lonely, theres now a hole in my heart and it cant be patched up.

I keep watching him until I couldnt see him anymore and then I hear those words replay in my head, 'break up, break up, break up'.

I burst into tears and I ran as fast as I could all the way back home. I reach my house, I open the door and I kept running to my bedroom slamming my door behind me.

I collapse onto my bed and I put my face into my pillow and I cried and cried and cried for hours!

Kevin was my forever, well I thought he was, he made me laugh and he was just the sweetest guy!

I loved him so much and I thought he felt the same, but I was obviously wrong and now I'm once again single, the way I'm going I'm gunna be a loner for the rest of my life.

This is just great, first I get fired and now my boyfriend broke up with me. This day couldnt of gone any worse!!

I felt the name Kevin was a little carroty, cause ya know, Kevin the pigeon.

But who cares.
