RoseWatching worried as she slept, her wings wrapped securely with bandages and I was worried about when she woke up as Sam said to stay as incase she did since she might freak out or break down at the sight and memories of her wing being injured. It was only two arrows that didn't go too deep but she looked in such agony as if the fact that someone hurt her wing and tried to shoot us hurt her even more, I suppose she did promise she would protect me even if it risked her sacred wings.
"Rose?..." someone called out and my head snapped to see my brother, Otis, he was two years younger than me making him 24 as his wife, Mia, stood beside him with a warm smile and a set of flowers.
"Otis" I spoke in relief as he walked over and took me into a tight hug.
"How is she?" He asked while sitting down beside me.
"Nurse said it shouldn't scar or cause any problems but Sam said that it might more be a mental thing..." I sighed, "I'm guessing Uh mum told you..."
"Yeah... I'm glad you finally found someone even if your not... you know together together" he smiled, "she seemed nice... I mean she saved mine and your life's so she's loyal.."
"Trust me you have no idea... she flew with a shot wing to protect me while I was away" I muttered with a small smile but my voice fell silent as she shifted.
"Rose..." she mumbled before her eyes snapped opened as she looked around panicked before finding me as I quickly used my cane to walk over as she yanked me straight into her arms as she held me against her as I sat on the edge of the bed with her head buried into my neck.
"I'm safe.. don't worry" I whispered, "how you feeling?..."
"Did they get you?" She questioned as she looked for any marks on me, "and what I say about walking?!"
"Kim.. I'm fine" I reassured her as I guided her to lay back down before glancing at my brother and Mia, "this is my brother and his wife Mia"
"I brought you some flowers" she smiled as she rested them on the bedside table.
"Thank you..." she muttered as she stared at the women strangely before turning to my brother, "Otis. How are you?"
"I'm a lot better since the last time we saw each other" he stated with a smile as she took my hand and it basically engulfed mine.
"Come on, let's leave these two be" Mia suggested as she took Otis hand and the two left, shutting the door behind them and I was immediately yanked closer as my lips met hers in a kiss as her hand tangled in my hair while her other held me closer to her while I support myself with her shoulders and when she pulled back I was panting with her only lightly doing so.
"God I was so worried" she whispered.
"How you think I was" I returned the soft tone as our foreheads rested against each other.
"I promised I'd protect you..." she muttered.
"You hurt your wings though!" I gestured and she took at it sadly before turning back.
"I'd rather get shot than loose you..." she admitted before I leaned in again and met her in a smooth kiss.
Deepening it as I opened my mouth when she nipped the bottom lightly, making out as she pulled me so I was laying next to her but leaned over me while her hands slid up the back of my shirt as I felt warm all over as she broke the kiss and buried her face into my neck as I caught my breath.
"Why you always stick you head into my neck" I questioned.
"Humans have a natural scent like avians so we can tell the change in your hormones, your ones is more like vanilla and coconut but when I nuzzle my own into you it mixes with mine which is more eucalyptus and a forestry scent" I explained to her, "placing your scent on one another is very intimate"
"That makes more sense..." I mumbled while she moved her head back so I could rest my own onto her chest.
"Which is how I knew you were turned on by me kissing you" she stared calmly as I whole face burnt up, "it's fine... you can tell when I do too"
"How?" I huffed, "you like stone cold"
"My tail, my wings are all signs, you just have to figure them out" she shrugged.
"Rude" I grumbled making her laugh softly, "I also brought you mask since you didn't put it on before"
"Thanks... I'll put it on when we leave" she hummed as she rubbed my back.
Time skip
Watching as the women talked to her brother about something while I stood away with sam as he watched, we were in a lush garden filled with beautiful white roses and willow trees that swayed in the light wind. Sam laughed softly when he looked back at me and I gave him a confused look as he grinned to himself before smiling at me.
"You like her don't you?" He hummed.
"I do not" I huffed.
"You do! Look at you!" He laughed as he nudged me and I couldn't help my own smile.
"Okay... maybe... I mean sometimes we like you know... kiss..." I shrugged and his eyes widened.
"What the hell!" He exclaimed, "you kissed her and you didn't even ask for a date!"
"It's kinda hard to take a princess on a date, nothing could impress her" I huffed.
"Well maybe do something she's never experienced... take her somewhere she adores..." he shrugged and I looked back at her as she waved with a huge smile.
"Okay..." I sighed.
"How are your wings?" He asked.
"There healed... my feathers had protected them" I hummed as there was only a slight uneven surface where the arrows had struck.
"Good... than use them if you want to keep her"
