"Alright. So, change of clothes, good food and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." listed out Caroline as she strolled into the Gilbert house. She looked up finally, her eyes landing on Tyler just as she did.

"You're helping her?" he asked her arrogantly.

Tyler had adamantly spent the entire day entertaining himself by staring at Klaus and Maeve, trapped inside the barrier. For him, it felt nice to see them be helpless for once.

"Yes, I am. She's my friend Tyler." Caroline tossed the bag toward Klaus who caught it swiftly and handed it to a tired Maeve sitting on the couch in the room.

"She's his friend too." pointed out Tyler clearly not liking the friendship his girlfriend had with Maeve.

"And Damon is yours. I never said anything, why are you?" Caroline chastised sharply. Maeve's jaw dropped while Tyler gaped surprised. Caroline ignored his reaction and turned to Maeve instead,

"How are you feeling?" Maeve's face fell and turned sour.

"She tried to get rid of the barrier, attempting to kill me in the process. So, yeah I'm swell!" she said sarcastically.

"We'll get you through it. Don't give up, okay?" Caroline said.

"Call Bonnie." instructed Klaus. "Get us out of here."

"Why would we help you?" interrupted Tyler. "Either of you." His eyes flickered from Maeve to Klaus. "You killed my mom, you killed Aunt Jenna."

"How easily did you forget that I set you free from the struggle of being a werewolf? Or how I was invited in by the Sheriff to save her daughter's life."

"You used your sirebond to make me do it." argued Tyler.

"I said a friend. You were the one who picked your own girlfriend."

"Enough!" shouted Maeve. She limped slightly and rose up to her feet. "Stop arguing. Bonnie is not here anymore──I can only assume. There is no way that we two can get out. And as for the bitch..." She narrowed her eyes on Tyler, "get the fuck out. No one wants you here." she turned to Klaus again, "you make peace with the prison cell."

Maeve lost her balance just as she uttered the words, clutching her head in her hands. She groaned and grunted reflecting the pain that coursed through her body. "Stop it." she shouted at no one in particular.

"Fine." she said and limped. Klaus being close, held her up. Maeve leaned entirely on Klaus for support having lost all sense of her own body.

"It's alright Maeve. You're here now." he calmed her and began soothingly rubbing a hand over her back.

Maeve sniffled, her fingers curling into a fist to release the pressure she felt within. "I can't take it anymore."

"You'll fight it. I know you can. Just hold on for a while, we'll get you through this." assured Klaus.

Maeve nodded her head tiredly, "I am tired, Nik. So tired." she whined softly.

"Maeve, why don't you sleep?" suggested Caroline. Her eyes softened and were on the verge of tears, seeing the state of Maeve.

Maeve nodded and shifted on the couch and laid down. It didn't take long for her to doze off. Klaus covered her with a blanket and walked back to the barrier, right where Caroline stood.

"Go to the mansion. On the mantle above the fireplace is a vial with a black liquid. Get it."

"What is it?" asked Caroline. Klaus considered his next words before he spoke again,

"It's best if we sedate her for now. Maverick gave that sedation dose just for her. Considering she's a Lycan, morphine won't work. Her system will heal its effects within minutes. To keep her under for long he made a natural sedation dose."
