Maeve rolled around on her small bed grunting and groaning at the sound of her phone ringing. She pulled her head up, her eyes still half closed. She squinted trying to read the caller id.
*Flirty Demon of hell* Maeve pressed the end call button and went back to sleep. She pulled the blanket over her head wanting to go back to sleep. Maeve yelled loudly in frustration when the blanket was snatched from her.
"Wake up!" Maeve sat up with her eyes still closed. "Piss off, asshole!" she plopped back on the bed trying to go back to sleep.
"Come on now Mae, don't be like this. Wake up." he pulled her by her legs down on the bed. Maeve used her legs to kick him away before she rolled on the bed and crawled back up to rest her head on the pillow.
"Why won't you wake up?"
"Get lost." Maeve ignored him. Her phone buzzed again on the nightstand. She used the spare pillow on the bed and placed it on her ear trying to drowning out the noise.
"Flirty Demon of hell? That's what you named me?" he repeated in disbelief. "I'm flattered and offended." He grabbed her arm and pulled her up. "You have to wake up. Look the bird's are chirping."
"Get that crow of yours and fly away, asshole!" Maeve cursed loudly. "I want to sleep."
He chuckled rolling his eyes, "You know you are currently being a demon."
"I am Lucifer's queen." She shifted around the bed a few times before sitting up with a grumpy look. "I'm awake now, stupid ass bitch."
"Wow. You've got a mouth on you." Maeve opened her eyes staring at the raven haired man smiling at her. "Really Flirty Demon of hell? That's what you think of me?"
"Have you proven otherwise?" she sarcastically asked him. Damon shrugged his shoulders nodding his head sideways. "What do you want?" Maeve threw her legs off the bed and stomped around her small studio apartment.
"I kind of wanted your help."
"With what?" Maeve asked opening the refrigerator.
"I have to question this werewolf who's asking about Mason Lockwood and I want you to keep an eye on Elena." Maeve shook her head a 'no' immediately giving him a deadpan look.
"D, in case you haven't seen the obvious yet, we hate each other. Keeping me in close proximity as her is a threat to her." Damon rolled his eyes, "well, she's on house arrest. Did you know that?"
Maeve turned to Damon with a stoic look. "How did you manage that?"
"Bonnie. Now you helping me or what?"
Maeve grumbled, "she's already on house arrest, why do you want me to babysit her?"
Damon walked around the kitchen island closer to Maeve, "because a woman named Jules is asking around about Mason Lockwood and I don't want her sniffing around over to you."
"I didn't murder Mason. You did."
"You did help me kidnap him." Maeve poured herself a cup of coffee avoiding to meet Damon's eyes. "That's because you could have gotten yourself killed if I hadn't."
Damon smiled smugly, "I'll inform little Gilbert about you coming. The boy loves you."
"I am not going."
"I'll get you a bottle of bourbon from my collection." Maeve raised an eyebrow at the offer. "Why do you want me to go so bad?"
"I don't want you to get in the cross fire of Jules and me when it all eventually blows up."
Maeve pointed her finger at him with a chortle, "So you agree, your plans go up in flames."
"Thank you." Damon moved to the door after offering Maeve another smile, "get me that bottle or I'll haunt your sleep."
