Lorelei's Lure

A cliff so steep, it beckons men
To meet their fate, again and again.
A siren's call, a tempting trap,
A fisherman's end, a fatal mishap.

I, too, fell prey to her deceit,
Ensnared in nets, struggling to retreat.
Gasping for air, pleading for release,
Desperate for life, a futile peace.

But Lorelei, she hears no plea,
Her heart as cold as the raging sea.
She seeks to destroy, from inside out,
Until I am but a breathless drought.

Oh, Lorelei, your beauty so rare,
A deadly charm, a fatal snare.
May others heed my warning well,
And escape your grasp, before they fell.
