"Harry, you've got to wake up now. Ron and Hermione already went ahead of us," I run my fingers through his hair and rub his back until he wakes up and stretches, looking up at me. The thunder echoed through the wind outside of the castle as a storm began to brew.
"Shit... How long was I out?" He asks sitting up and rubbing his face, "Few hours, not long. I told Ron and Hermione to go on ahead without us so I could wake you up." I smile gently at him, and he smiles back at me.
"Thank you, N/n," He stares into my eyes with a smile, and I shove his shoulder playfully, "Come on, we bets get a move on before we get shouted at by Hermione for leaving her alone with Ron." I joke and with a laugh. "She may kill him," He laughs with me. On our way to the room the Goblet of Fire is held many kids entered and exited the room as we got closer to the Goblet.
When we walked into the room a student was placing his name into the blue flames, and I watched as it burned in the flames. Several kids cheered and as he stepped out of the glowing age line drawn on the ground many pat his shoulder as they left the room.
Ron walks up to the two of us as we walk in, "There you guys are, about time." At the same time Cedric comes up behind me, getting shoved into the age line. "Put it in!" One kid exclaims, "I am, I am." Cedric laughs with a smile as he places his name into the Goblet. His piece of parchment sizzles into nothing and everyone around him applauds. Except me.
I don't know what the Ministry was thinking, was my first through third year not enough of harm for them?
"Eternal glory, would be brilliant, wouldn't it? Could be one of us three years from now." Ron shoves his hands into his pockets admiring the Goblet and its flame. "Yeah, rather you than me," Harry snickers and I shake my head at the two with a small laugh.
Loud cheering erupts into the room behind us and as I turn around to see what's happening, I see none other than Fred and George sprinting into the room with something in their hands. The both of them receive several high fives and fist bumps from students as they pass them.
"Well lads! We've done it!" Fred announces, "Cooked it up, just this morning." George smirks as they both show off the vial in their hands. I look at Ron, "What are they on about?"
"You haven't heard? They've been working on a potion to make em a year older, you know, to qualify in the tournament." Ron explains and I sigh, not even slightly surprised. "It's not going to work~" Hermione says singing it as a tune. Fred and George both sit down on either side of her and she turns her head to each of them.
"Oh yeah? And why's that Granger?" George grins asking her, and she points to the age line glowing brightly around it, "You see that? That is an age line, Dumbledore drew it himself."
"So?" Fred states and Hermione groans closing her book, "So, a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by something as pathetic and dimwitted as am aging potion."
"Ah, but you see that's why it's so brilliant," Fred begins the sentence allowing his twin brother to finish it, "Because it is so pathetically dimwitted." The both of them laugh as they take a stand and step onto the stair beside 'Mione.
"Ready Fred?"
"Ready George?"
"Bottoms up!" They cross their arms over the others and throw their heads back as they swallow the aging potion. They both jump off of the stairs and directly into the line, my eyes widen as I look at Hermione who grins. But rather than them being launched from the space they remained where they stood, everyone instantly broke out in cheers and applauds.
Fred and George shout and cheer with the rest of us while they take a victory walk around the Goblet, the twins stand in front of the Goblet and ask if the other is ready one final time. When they both place their names into the flame and nothing happens, we were all surprised even Hermione's eyes widen in surprise. Fred and George both shout and high five one another in excitement.
