Tine snuggled closer to Sarawat, mumbling incoherent thoughts as Sarawat shifted. Sarawat looked down and saw Tine's face squashing into his chest. He smiled softly, caressing Tine's cheeks until Tine frowned in his dreams.

"Shia, I am still sleepy."

Sarawat wished he could wake up to this every morning. That sounded like a plan too far away. For now, Sarawat only wished he could savour this moment a little longer. But, he knew that he needed to wake up and freshen up, it was going to be a big day today.

"I need to leave first, work calls."

Sarawat whispered and placed a sniff kiss on Tine's crown. His shampoo smelt different on Tine. It was a little fruitier, a little sweeter.

"Promise that you will be back soon."

"I promise."

Sarawat pecked on Tine's milky cheeks before freeing himself from Tine's firm hold. Tine grabbed Sarawat's used pillow and buried his nose into it. This was the first time since Sarawat started working, that he felt like calling in sick for no reason. He would be happy to stay home and spend the rest of the day with Tine.

Dim was starting to lose his patience. The police officers had been escorting him back and forth between the holding room and interrogation room. He needed his comfort back. He held on to the promise that Green had given him. The supposed freedom after he had reached China, the supposed fame after he built his new empire. Dim clung to the promises that Green had given him. Green had never broken his promises. Green promised to provide him with a life of entitlement, which was what he got. Green promised to love him forever and forever did last, until this moment. He still chose to believe in Green with all his might.

Green, you promised me that everything is going to be fine.

It was until the crackling sound of metal banging that stopped his thoughts. He looked up, his bubble of hope of seeing Green again burst into thin air.

Sarawat stared at Dim, who sat across him, with his icy cold gaze. He lowered his head, arranging the photos in chronological order. Dim felt the air getting colder as seconds passed.

"I didn't know the lab is so poor, not even a glass of water for the visitors?"

Sarawat gave Dim a dirty look, as if he was looking at an idiot. He signalled for the police officer standing at the door.

"Three hot coffees."

The officer nodded and left, footsteps thumping in the corridor, away from the room. The air conditioning unit was still blasting cool air into the room, Dim shivered. Out of the cold, he convinced himself. Because I am only wearing a thin black shirt. When the police officer came back with steaming hot coffees, Dim said a silent prayer. His handcuffs clicked against the metal railings as he took a sip of his coffee. He snorted, the coffee tasted like cheap coffees from the gas stations.

"I will tear this place down the first thing when I step out of this building."

Sarawat's expressionless face cracked as he heard Dim's words. The audacity of this man, why is he so confident that we will release him later? Before he could rebuke Dim, the door flung open, revealing Earn who came in with some court files.

"Thanks for the coffee, you are my saviour!"

"Not a problem, just making sure that we don't get customer complaints."

Sarawat joked as he smirked devilishly. For Earn, it was a new sight to behold. There was a reason why Sarawat was the ice-cold prince of the investigation lab. It seemed like something had changed Sarawat.
