TW // CW: Mentions of drugs and alcohol.

Tine continued surveying the surroundings after he finished bagging the first evidence. Then, his blood ran wild as he pushed the shrubs aside. There was a lady's purse among the waist-height shrubs and coincidentally, the purse was moss green in colour, which blended into the surroundings perfectly. Mechanically, he placed a corner ruler, took a picture before picking the purse up. He recognised the woman's face printed on the ID. It was the victim.
Pam, what a sweet name.
Sarawat came over to Tine as he finished scrutinising the area, wondering if Tine needed his help. Tine looked back and waved to Sarawat, signalling to Sarawat that he had found something useful to the investigation.
"Yes? Tine?"
"The victim's wallet. Full of cash, the killer was definitely not going after her money."
"Cool, what else?"
"I found a packet of white powdered substance thrown somewhere around here."
Tine fetched the transparent evidence bag containing the packet of white powdered substance from his examination kit, showing it to Sarawat. Sarawat flipped the bag back and forth, as if he was looking for more clues from the bag. The powdered substance was bagged in a usual zip lock clear plastic bag. In fact, it was the most conventional bag one could find in Bangkok.
"Looks like some type of drugs?"
"Cocaine maybe? Remember the spiderlike blood vessels?"
"Definitely, what does it has to do with cocaine anyway?"
"It's a long shot, but if she's sharing needles with other people, chances are, it's Hepatitis C. Also, her skin tone was usually yellow, using cocaine would cause that."
"Looks like someone had paid attention during his pharmacology classes."
Sarawat teased Tine light-heartedly. Being proud of Tine's performance would be an understatement, he felt like squishing Tine into his arms. Tine looked so attractive when he was all investigator mode on, and so adorable when he was just being himself. This is way too dangerous for my heart.
"The more challenging something is, the more I want to conquer it."
Tine winked at Sarawat, as if he was saying that he wanted to conquer Sarawat. Sarawat coughed unnaturally, turning around and getting his evidence bag up, showing it to Tine. He tried hard to divert Tine's attention but failed miserably, Tine was still smiling widely at him. Sarawat deadpanned.
"I found this crystal cufflink over there, near the tire tracks there. I've got the measurements as well, our database might have something useful for us."
"You dumbass, it is diamond, not crystal. Are you for real?"
Tine scoffed, he had seen that before. Wasn't exactly a global limited edition, but it was advertised as a customisable design. Sarawat must have been living in a cave to not know that. The brand had publicised its selling point crazily on advertisement boards and social media channels throughout the past few years. Sarawat pouted, of course, he knew Tine was just messing him up, but Tine didn't need to be this mean to him. Tine cooed at Sarawat's behaviour, people really have to be blind to call Sarawat an ice-cold prince.
"We should go before the sun sets, and you need to buy me a cup of coffee tonight."
"Yes, sir!"
Tine saluted at Sarawat before packing his things up. It was definitely a weird thing to say, but Tine was absolutely looking forward to spending the night in the crime lab.
