As the sun began its ascent in the distance, you found yourself gazing out of the car window alongside Rosé.
The two of you were making your way back to the mansion after a night spent together.
The air was filled with an unspoken tension, neither of you daring to mention the events of the previous night.
The car glided along the quiet streets, the only sounds breaking the silence being the radio playing some generic tune that only Rosé seemed to enjoy.
It wasn't until you were halfway home that Rosé finally broke the comfortable silence enveloping you both.
Her voice was soft and filled with concern as she asked, "Are you okay?"
For a brief moment, she took her eyes off the road, her gaze meeting yours before returning to the task at hand.
You bit your lip, unsure of how to answer. The evening with Rosé had unfolded in unexpected ways, and the weight of your betrayal to Jennie gnawed at your conscience.
The guilt was eating away at you from the inside out, making it difficult to find the right words.
"Um," you stammered, feeling the awkwardness settle in. You struggled to come up with a suitable response, but before you could, Rosé spoke again, her voice gentle and reassuring.
"We don't have to talk about anything if you don't want to..." Her concern was evident, and you couldn't help but wonder if she could read your mind.
You didn't want her to feel used or discarded after the intimacy you shared.
"No... No, it's fine!" you quickly exclaimed, hoping to alleviate her confusion.
Rosé gave you a puzzled look, clearly taken aback by your sudden outburst. "Are you sure? If you want to keep things as they are-"
"No! I mean... Yes, everything is fine, really. And..." you paused, searching for the right words to express your gratitude. "Thank you for... for letting me experience love even when I shouldn't-"
She interrupted, her voice filled with compassion, "You deserve the world, Y/N. You deserve to have your feelings reciprocated. Loving someone unconditionally, whether you're married or single, doesn't do any harm. Love is meant to be freely given. But... I can understand if you're not ready to give us another chance."
Her voice trailed off, and you couldn't help but notice tears welling in the corners of her eyes.
You paused for a moment, realizing that you needed to set things straight.
"Rosie, I'm not leaving Jennie. Sure, we've had our fair share of problems, but we're going to work through them. I can't give up on her," you said, determined.
Rosé nodded, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Hey," you called softly, and she looked up, meeting your gaze. "Why are you crying?" you asked gently, reaching out to wipe away her tears.
She leaned into your touch, her face nuzzling against your hand. "I just didn't realize how much I'd regret letting you go... but I don't want to hold onto something that you no longer feel for me. I don't want to force you into anything you don't want," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Your hand slowly retreated from her cheek, your heart sinking at her words.
"So... What do we do now?" she asked, her gaze drifting away from yours and focusing on the road ahead.
You pondered for a moment, desperately searching for a solution, but came up empty.
You never expected to find yourself in a situation like this, where being intimate with Rosé was even a possibility.
