As you reached the small patch of flowers near the back fence, you couldn't help but feel a surge of relief. You turned to look Jennie in the eye, a mysterious glint in your gaze.
Jennie looked equally confused, clearly not sure what was going on. "Y/N, we didn't have to leave-"
"-I just think that Rosie and Alice need some privacy to talk," you interrupted, a sly smile playing on your lips.
"But-"
"-We don't want to intrude in their conversation, Jennie," Lisa chimed in, her voice filled with understanding.
Your friends' presence seemed to ease the tension between you and Jennie, bringing a sense of relief.
However, there was still one issue that needed addressing.
"Is there any other couple here aside from you and me, Y/N? I remember Alice mentioning it earlier," Jennie questioned cautiously.
Your eyes darted towards Lisa, silently pleading for her help. But Lisa averted her gaze, making it clear she didn't want to get involved.
You let out a frustrated sigh before turning back to Jennie. "No, there isn't. Just ignore Alice..."
Jennie frowned, clearly not fully convinced. "Okay?"
Deciding it was best to distract yourselves, the four of you found a bench near the wall to sit on, maintaining a fair distance between you.
Jisoo suddenly stood up, groaning dramatically. "I'm so bored! We need to do something fun."
Jennie raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Fun? Like what?"
Jisoo smirked mischievously. "Oh, there's one thing I've been dying to do here in Melbourne."
Lisa scoffed playfully. "I thought you said it's too hot to be outside, remember?"
"Well, yeah. But you never know what we might stumble across. Plus, we only have a couple of days left in Melbourne before we go back to Korea," Jisoo countered, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Feeling a surge of energy, you stood up and reached your hand out to Jennie, a reassuring smile on your face.
Jennie looked up at you with her adorable feline eyes, questioning your gesture.
But she trusted you, and she took your hand, allowing you to pull her up to her feet.
"Jennie and I will go get dressed first. Let's meet back here once everyone's ready. By the way, should we wear something casual or something more formal?" you wondered, a curious expression on your face.
"Wear something that will make you feel comfortable while climbing rocks," Jisoo suggested, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips.
---
You stared at the towering climbing wall, a mixture of anticipation and nervousness bubbling inside you.
Alice had been beaming at you and Rosé for what felt like an eternity now.
Unfortunately, Jisoo had invited her along, making the situation even more awkward than it should be.
It was getting harder and harder to hide the truth, especially since you had spent countless sleepless nights trying to come up with a way to permanently resolve the chaotic mess you had unintentionally created.
"Alrighty then, let's get this show on the road!" Jisoo declared, her voice filled with excitement. She turned to Lisa, clapping her hands together gleefully.
