I was sitting in my dorm room working on some homework that I had for my geometry class. I hated this class because it was so hard and it made no sense. Also, when was I going to need to figure out the angle of a triangle in whatever job I pursued?
A knock on my door made me happy, knowing I had an excuse to stop frying my brain. It was not Melissa because she would not knock and I knew that most of the guys were out at dinner tonight.
I opened the door, and saw Connor standing there leaning against the doorway. He took a step in my dorm without any permission.
"What were you doing?" Connor asks me, referring to the papers scattered all over the floor.
"I was working on geometry," I tell him. It was something that I always did. When it came to homework I had to lie down on the floor and do it.
Connor just nods his head in response, and he looks up at me and gives me one of his oh-so famous smirks.
I raised my eyebrows in question at him and why he was here.
"What are you doing here?" I ask him.
He did not say anything in response but instead took a step towards me. I did not move, feeling frozen in my place. Connor then took another step forward and his blue eyes had looked so gorgeous up close. They were not a bright blue or sky blue, but more of a grayish blue and it was gorgeous.
Connor dipped his head down and brushed his lips against mine, but not kissing me. I could feel the smile growing across his face and I could feel his breath against my face.
He made another move and placed his hand lightly on my arm, making it burn with sensation at his touch.
What is he doing to me?
He pulled me forward and closed the (little) space in between us and he kissed me. His lips crashed against mine roughly and they started to move in sync. This kiss was much different than our first one which was more gentle and slow.
This one was so much more different and it made my stomach do flips.
We pulled apart and he looked at me in the eyes. He grabbed me by the shoulders and started shaking me.
"Wake up!" a girl said as Connor left and everything became dark. "We have to leave for school soon."
I opened my eyes and saw Melissa hovering over top of me, trying to get me to wake up.
"Man, you can sleep through anything," she says as she walks into the bathroom.
I blink a couple of times to make sure this is real. I sigh, knowing that everything that happened was a dream.
Wait, did I want that to happen? I do not know, I was not even sure if I like Connor. Ever since he has kissed me, my mind and feelings and emotions have all been jumbled together. At first, I liked Tyler because he was the only guy who was nice to me and then I met Britt and that all went crashing down.
"Are you getting up today or tomorrow?" Melissa asked from the bathroom.
"I'm getting up," I mumbled as I rubbed my eyes and (slowly) got out of bed.
When I got into the cafeteria, Bryce was the first one to see me and waved me over to him. I started walking over towards his table, and noticed that the only seat available was the seat across from Connor. And by the way, seemed more interested in his muffin than me walking up.
I told Bryce that I would be back as I put my backpack down in the seat and went up into the line. I had ended up just grabbing a muffin and made my way back towards the table.
"So," Bryce drawls when I sit down. "What's up?"
"I am tired," I say as I let out a yawn, as if on cue.
Tyler walked up to our table and I noticed that Britt was not attached to his side. He wedged in between me and Bryce, even though there was not much room, and rubbed his eyes.
"Aw," Damian starts, across from Tyler. "Did someone not get their beauty sleep?"
He removes his hands from his eyes and gives him the dirtiest glare. Damian, Bryce, and I all start to laugh at him, while Connor shifts uncomfortably in his seat.
"Why did you not get any sleep last night?" I ask Tyler.
"I just had a lot on my mind," he says shrugging his shoulders.
"I will see you guys later," Connor says abruptly as he stands up and slings his backpack over one of his shoulders. He starts walking away.
I stuff the rest of my muffin in my mouth and try to hurry to catch up with Connor before I lose him again. Slinging my backpack over one of my shoulders, I start running after Connor and I hear one of the guys ask where I am going.
I ignore whoever it was and keep running. Connor turns a corner quickly, and I do not think he has realized that I am running after him.
When I turn the corner, I see him at his locker with his back towards me. I start walking towards him and I grab the handle of hi backpack so he does not start running away.
"Connor," I say as soon as I get a good grip on his backpack.
He closes his locker quickly and starts to bolt, but he jerks back because of my grip. He glances back and sees what made him stop.
"Please let go," he tells me as he looks ahead.
"Can we talk?" I ask him.
"About what?" he asks harshly. His jaw tenses and I try to figure out why he has been acting like...like a jerk.
"Why are you avoiding me?" I ask as he turns around to face me. I let go of his backpack, knowing he is not going to run away now.
"I do not want to see you die," he replies harshly looking down at me.
What?
