“What class do you have first?” Connor asks his back against my locker.

“Um,” I say looking at my class schedule.  “English with Ms. Pape.”

“That’s my first class too,” Connor says smirking.

“Great,” I say. “Now can you move so I can get into my locker?”

“What’s in it for me?” Connor asks crossing his arms over his chest.

“Nothing,” I say confused. “I just need to get my books.”

“Well that obviously isn’t going to happen now is it?” Connor asks smiling. “Now that I’m in the way.”

“Connor just let me get my books,” I say sighing.

“The poor princess can’t get her books. How sad,” Connor says rubbing his eye pretending to cry.

“I told you not to call me princess,” I hiss at him.

“Whatever princess,” he says biting his lip.

“Move!” I say.

“No!” he replies mocking me.

“What is going on?” Bryce asks walking up to us.

“Connor won’t move his freaking butt, so I can’t get to my locker,” I tell him.

“Oh okay,” Bryce says walking away.

I stare at his back confused and shout, “Thanks for the help!”

“No problem!” he yells turning around and giving me a thumbs up.

“What do you want?” I ask Connor sighing.

“A kiss,” Connor says leaning forward and puckering up.

I lean and kiss him on the cheek. “Now move,” I say pushing him out of the way.

“Hey that’s not fair,” he says.

“You didn’t specify,” I say opening my locker and grabbing my stuff for English.  I close my locker and give him a smile.  “Now I kind of need to know how to get to English.”

“Well if you give me an actual kiss on the lips then maybe you’ll know where to go,” Connor says smirking.

I swear that boy smirks so much…

“Tyler!” I exclaim when I see Tyler walk past us. I run up to him. He turns around and smiles at me.

“Hey Haley,” he says.

“Do you know where Ms. Pape’s classroom is?” I ask him.

“Yeah, but I’m late for my class and Ms. Pape’s room is on the opposite side of the school from my class, Tyler says. “Sorry.”

Connor snickers and I turn around to face him and glare at him.

“Why can’t Connor just take you?” Tyler asks. “Ms. Pape is his first class.”

“Because he wants to be a jerk,” I reply back.

“Aw, the poor-“ he starts.

“If you finish that sentence with princess I will come over and tackle you,” I say raising my eyebrows.

“Princess,” Connor says smiling.

I hand my backpack to Tyler and I run over to Connor. I jump on his back and wrap my legs around his waist so I don’t fall off. I lean forward trying to get Connor to fall, but he isn’t moving.
