(If you haven't already, please read the "Intermission" chapter. It lays out the next half of this book and describes the time gap and all those details. It's VERY important to understand what's going on in the timeline.

Thank you)

Third POV:

William’s silver eyes focused on the planning sheet in front of him, scrutinising every detail and scale of the animatronic design. The sound of Henry’s tools being set on the wooden table he sat at and the grinding of gears being set or metal clicking together filling the room as the two men worked opposite each other in the backstage area. Muffled music from the main room filtered in with the monotonous sound of people talking in mass. Neither could hear the quiet shutter of (Y/N)’s camera as he peeked around the doorway to catch them both working. Specifically, he wanted to get the perfect shot of William deep in thought from a side profile view. The current song faded to the end, Henry promptly pulling a hatch that caused the revolving stage to begin turning around after the curtain closed. The three animatronics in an idle position now faced the engineer as Toy Foxy began his show and the curtain opened again. This change in stage-face brought the bright rainbow lights with it—giving the perfect backlighting and reflected purple light to capture the sharp features of William.

The camera shuttered again, (Y/N) smirking in satisfaction at the shot. William’s intense silver gaze was locked on the blueprint page in one hand while his other held a white pen. His brows were slightly furrowed in concentration and his pale complexion took on a cool light from the reflected lighting of the blue page in his grasp. The fluffed, wild strands of brunette hair were highlighted in blue, red, and yellow from the lights on the stage. The photographer shifted his focus to the blonde whose hands were in Toy Bonnie’s back, adjusting the focus on his lens to Henry’s face as he began taking out a circuit board. He took the shot when the male brought the circuit out of the animatronic’s back and started unplugging a few fuses. Then, he got a clear picture of Freddy’s idle pose with the rainbow lighting on his glossy surface and the other two animatronics–with Henry–blurred in the background.

“You know it’s not polite to spy on people, right?” Jeremy’s quiet voice behind (Y/N) caused him to whip around with a raised elbow ready to hit him. He stopped abruptly and growled in frustration.

“Don’t do that, you bastard!” The slightly shorter male huffed at him, a light embarrassed blush rising to his cheeks, “You bloody git, I would have hit you—and I should have!”

“Aww, you got caught!” Jeremy laughed and leaned away from (Y/N)’s strike zone. Henry, having gotten spooked a little, chuckled alongside Jeremy.

“Be careful, he might actually hit you one day,” the blonde shook his head in amusement, “What were you doing, (Y/N)?”

“I was taking photos for my portfolio, until this twat st—interrupted me,” (Y/N) sounded annoyed, stepping into the room to sit on the edge of the table William was working at.

“I’m shocked he even startled you, you’re usually so sharp,” the older man raised a brow at the one sitting on his table, amusement in his tone.

“I didn’t get startled! I was simply focused and got interrupted,” (Y/N) denied, looking through the lens at the powered-down Bonnie.

“Oh suuuure,” Jeremy leaned on the doorway with a smug grin, “You definitely didn’t act as if someone were about to attack you just then because you were focused.”

“Listen here, you little brat,” (Y/N) narrowed his eyes at Jeremy, “I don’t get scared, and I definitely wouldn’t be scared of you.” The young man only laughed.
