Chapter 4; "Under the Moonlight."

'Under the Moonlight'

Beomgyu woke up beside Taehyun as he turned his head to face him. The younger was still asleep, his hair messy because of how much he moved around the bed while sleeping. His arms were attached to his chest and his legs curling up.

Beomgyu was just staring, not until he slightly flinched when Taehyun mumbled something as his head quivered and some strands fell on his eyes.
He put his hand on his hair as he caressed it and moved the strands that were blocking his face with his fingers.

Realization hit as his lids dropped, pupil stopped staring at Taehyun. He sat up and he walked to the balcony, enjoying the fresh cold air meeting his nose and skin. Beomgyu's eyes closed as he placed his arms on the railings, inhaling a deep breath. After a few seconds, he opened his eyes and fingers started to tap with his fingertips feeling the cold sensation of the railing.

He thought, 'What will happen once I have confessed?'

Will he lose or keep?

Will he be able to get the courage or won't?

Once you're moving fast, you'll trip hard.

Can he bear the pain?

Beomgyu then looked back and saw Taehyun awake while rubbing his eyes.
He flinched by the sudden appearance, mouth parting away with his eyes flattering. He forgot Taehyun was a light-sleeper and would wake up by the slightest move or sound.

"Why were you there? Aren't you gonna get cold? You don't have any jacket or anything." Taehyun sleepily muttered, his hands now lowering down once he got his eyes fully opened.

Beomgyu was pondering, trying to make an answer. "I-.. I was just wide awake and couldn't sleep after I woke up." he smiled, walking closer slowly. He was not great with lies but he always get away with excuses.

Taehyun blinked, assuming that Beomgyu had a nightmare. After Beomgyu walked pass him, he hugged him from behind, not wanting for Beomgyu to feel lonely. The other flinched and soon melted in the warmth Taehyun was giving as he hugged him tightly but ever so gently.

Beomgyu chuckled, "What is it?" he asked between his laughter, feeling Taehyun's chin on his shoulder. His laughs toned down as all he could hear was their slow pace of breathing and the beats of his heart that was rapidly beating. He quietly hummed and relaxed his shoulders that were stiff, allowing himself to feel at ease. Beomgyu knew that his face was slightly a shade of red, generally and shortly explained that he was blushing. It was dark and only the light allowing them to see was from the moonlight, a light that was a bright colour of the sea.

"Are you okay?" Taehyun asked with a gentle soothing voice when he slightly pulled away and removed his chin on Beomgyu's shoulder. He was worrying too much but he always know that Beomgyu will stay healthy.

"Yes, I am~" Beomgyu smiled, putting his hand on the top of Taehyun's that snaked around his waist, securing him close that his chest touched his back.

At this moment, they looked like an old couple. The ones that were happily still feeling young when they're together, feeling like when they share a moment with each other, their lives were forever.

They stayed like that for minutes, until Beomgyu spoke up. "It's Monday, isn't it?" he said as he looked up at the ceiling, trying to figure out if he was right or wrong. Beomgyu has to go to school today, but he should wear face mask to prevent the other students to get affected with cold. He didn't want to skip class, his grades will go down and his parents will be disappointed.

"Oh, yeah.." Taehyun confirmed, sighing because he knows the school will give a lot of activities and assignments which it will be harder for him to take care of the stuff.

Taehyun is used to this, his reputation is really high along with his grades. He was really popular in school due to how handsome and smart he was. He receives a lot of confessions or proposals everyday and the students will get ready to make gifts on Tuesday because that's when he accepts everything. They always get rejected because Taehyun was observative and wise, he knows they like him for his looks and popularity. He has a soft side with his friends, he was always cold in public. That didn't make the students go away though, they were jealous for Beomgyu seeing his true self or side. Speaking about Beomgyu on the other hand, he's quite popular for being kind and humble.. and mostly for being Taehyun's bestfriend. He wasn't known as 'kid from a wealthy family' but instead known as honest. He was the one taking the gifts and giving it to Taehyun. That's the reason why the younger accepted it because it was given from another person but accepted from Beomgyu. The latter hated the girls who didn't stop giving gifts and sometimes give him some attitude when Taehyun doesn't give them a reply, but he always shrug it off by smiling and rejecting politely. Beomgyu's grades are quite high but decent, he's known as quiet and the sweet kid from the whole school. He is handsome too, it's often for him to recieve gifts mostly when it's valentine's day.

"Are you going to school today?" Taehyun asked Beomgyu as he removed his hands on his waist but his left hand remaining on his hips, he sounded worried and curious.

Beomgyu felt cold when Taehyun pulled away from him, "Yeah, I have to.. besides I don't think I'm sick anymore." He said before laughing, he felt like he was brighter than ever when sick.

"Alright, don't force yourself." He reminded, going over to the balcony to have a view of the sky and the nature. The spot with bushy, filled with trees, the place that has the most beautiful living plants with perfectly green coloured leaves and colorful flowers. The dark grey clouds along with the full moon that were shining brightly.

The light outlined his pupils, strands and the parts of his face and arms, making him look majestic and ethereal. His smooth skin caressed through the railings as he walked. The warm breathes escaping through his mouth and mixing through the cold air.

He turned around and soon made eye contact with Beomgyu who was watching his movements ever since he came there, leaning on the door that welcomes the balcony.

"You look so pretty under the moonlight, Taehyun." Beomgyu complimented as he slowly walk closer to Taehyun. To be honest, he did a long time ago to Beomgyu's sight. He always admired him silently even when you don't know about it.

Taehyun giggled and said, "Thank you, hyung." he said lowly, voice thick with appreciation and gratefulness.

They stared for good 3 minutes and Beomgyu cupped Taehyun's face gently as he slightly rotated his head, angling it for some obvious reason.

"Can I kiss you right now?" Beomgyu asked while keeping his eyes on Taehyun's lips.
