Let's go to the past and connect some dots.

Taehyun always loved Beomgyu,

Beomgyu and only Beomgyu.

He didn't have the intention to date someone else

and always had eyes only for Beomgyu,

always focusing on him.

"Hey, why don't you try dating someone? you're very eye-catching, do you know that? you can just pick any person in this school to date and you'll be literally okay with it." Beomgyu suggested, wiggling his eyebrows, apparently half teasing and maybe helping Taehyun to get a partner.

"Except though, I'm here to advice you that you should pick wisely because there's a lot of bitches and gold-diggers here." he whispered the curse part, not wanting to offense someone that can eavesdrop near them.

"No thanks, I'm not interested with anyone."

But you.

Ever since then,

Taehyun had always loved Beomgyu back

but kept it a secret

and hid it for years.

He didn't have the courage to tell him,

because there's a lot of circumstances.

Both bad and good ones.

He didn't know how to express it instantly with words,

nor how to fix it when it goes bad.

Taehyun smiled, seeing Beomgyu happily jumping after getting the perfect mark for his exam,

Beomgyu's happiness is his happiness.

"Taehyun-ah!" Beomgyu ran to Taehyun, hugging him tightly as an action of thanks. "I'll treat you later, get ready and we'll go sharply at 4 pm after your tutor." he winked jokingly to Taehyun, giggling very loudly.

"Sure." Taehyun replied shortly, patting Beomgyu's back gently before the older went to gossip about his grades to Soobin.

"I'm willing to give anything even if it takes to take off a body part or organ — as long as it's for you, I will do everything it takes."

(flashback to chapter 2; "Green Flag.")

Taehyun always wrote a note,

before going to bed

and reflecting on his days,

not just that

— he was also counting his days.
