Chapter Five

Era's Pov
"So, I was adopted by them and it just took me 15 days to adjust with them. I felt like I got a family again. That house felt like home. I resumed my studies in Aman's school everything was a magical change of my life. I went from a sad and crying girl to a really cheerful girl. Aman knew everything about me. I was really comfortable with him he became my big brother. He never forced me to call him Bhaiya but with time I started calling him that. I remember how happy he was when I first called him bhaiya and so was, Ma happy when I called her 'Ma' instead of saying 'Aunt'. I was really happy with them. Aman was the perfect big brother." I drifted in those memories.

Few years back
Era's Pov
"Bhaiya, you know what happened in school today?" I said excitedly entering his room. I saw he was busy and kind off tensed. "I am sorry, I didn't knew you were busy. We'll talk later." I was walking out of his room. "Bunny, did I told you that I am busy. I am never busy for you. Tell me what happened everything ok right?" Aman asked and gestured me to sit besides him. "Everything is alright Bhaiya, and I am the new monitor of our class." I said literally dancing. He giggled "Little baby." "Don't call me that." I said being fake angry." I never was a monitor really good. You must be very sincere Bunny." "Oh so you were jealous. Jeko." I teased him and ran away. "Who jeko ha? wait I'll show you little monster." We ran I was ahead and Aman was chasing me. Playful giggles were heard all over the house." Ma, tell this jeko. He is annoying me again." "Aha, when did I annoy you ha? Lier." "Stop it guys." Ma said laughing on us." She started it." We ran out in the garden and he finally caught me and spin me up. That was the perfect moment. My family. Ma took a photo of both of us. We grew close in only 1 year.

Aman's Pov
This little monster always troubles me but always brings smile on my face. I was tensed and the other moment I was giggling. She really brought light to my and Ma's life. She is my priority. My sister whom I will always protect.

Present Day
Era's Pov
I got lost in those memories they were the best. "But Era if he loved you this much then why was he behaving like that today." Shanaya asked. "Actually after 2 years of my adoption Ma finally told me about her family. Bhaiya's parents were living abroad and they kept him with his grandma because they never wanted him. His father after many years went to England and there he fall for another girl and cheated on his own wife living in India. Aman Bhaiya's mom was so heart broken to hear it from her husband she wasn't able to tolerate it. Ma supported her daughter-in-law and broke every relation with his son. She took care of both Aman and his mother. Aman Bhaiya was just 5 years old when his mother committed suicide. He lost his mother but Ma never let him feel that loss. Ma took care of Bhaiya all the while and made him this good child. They both considered me a blessing to their family. They always used to say that I brought light to their lives. But for me, they gave me life before them I was just a rock only breathing. Then one day at Aman bhaiya's 18th birthday uncle (aman's father) came to take him to England with him. Aman Bhaiya totally refused so did Ma."

Few years back
Era's Pov
We were celebrating Aman bhaiya's birthday. "Come here Bunny. I am not going to cut the cake alone." "Bhaiya I am not a baby now." "Who told you? You're a baby no matter what." We laughed and I joined him for cutting the cake he embraced me in his arms and we were cutting the cake." Happy
Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Aman. Happy Birthday to you." We heard a deep voice entering our back yard where we were celebrating Bhaiya's Birthday. Ma and Aman bhaiya seemed shock after seeing the man who the voice belonged too. It was an adult man in his 40's maybe." "Mr. Sharma what are you doing here?" Bhaiya said he was really furious. And I realised he must be Bhaiya's father. "Oh come on son, don't talk to your father like that." "Did you now realised that you were a father also ha?" Ma shouted. "Don't you dare shout at me you old bitchy lady." "Don't you dare talk to my Ma like that." "Stop it boy, you're my son." "Which son ha? Whom you remember now where were you when my mom died? Where were you when I grew up? And now all of a sudden I'm your son ha." "Don't talk back to your father." They were shouting and now my anxiety had hit me. I grab bhaiya's hand. He suddenly stopped shouting and shifted his all attention towards me. "Are you ok Bunny? Don't worry please clam down and breath." They knew about my anxiety and Bhaiya never let it happen to me since he got to know that. "Oh, who is this pretty girl." " Oh stop it don't you dare look at her. Just tell me why are you here." "Well lets cut it short I am here to take my son back with me I need someone to manage my finance and till when will you feed him dear mother." "I can feed him throughout his life I have that much money power you don't worry about us." I tighten my grip on Bhaiya's hand I can't loose him now please. I can't loose Bhaiya he is my best friend and support system. All this thoughts were going in my mind and I felt really weak Bhaiya saw it. "Era, are you ok? Bunny please go in your room." "No Bhaiya, y..you w..won't g...go a...anywhere r...right." I said as anxiety took over me. "Bunny, please I'm not going anywhere. Please clam down. Please baby." I can see worry across Bhaiya's face I was always important to him he can't tolerate me being hurt at all. He really kept me like a princess.

Aman's Pov
I can't tolerate any hurt to Era. It was enough now I didn't think it was important to talk to Mr Sharma right now, its important to clam Era. I picked her up and went to our room. "B...Bhaiya p..please s..say y..you a....aren't g....going a....anywhere." She barely spoke. "Listen baby, I am not going anywhere." "P...promise?" "Ha paka promise." "Okay its late night already sleep." "Can you sleep with m..me?" "Yeah I will." We both slept together Era hugged me tight. I was smiling seeing her she loved me like I did to her. Dear Era don't worry your brother will always have your back and never leave you." I kissed her forehead and we fell fast asleep.

Present Day
Era's Pov
"Bhaiya did leave me because he was forced to. He wasn't at all happy with it. His departure left both of us in tears. But now he is back being a total different person he now wants all of Ma's property. Ma decided to give it to me because she doesn't want anything gone to uncle. But Bhaiya who never had any interest in this he wants it all now. He is behaving so different. When he was in England I even sent him letters but I never got any in return. Ma says Bhaiya is brainwashed by uncle and he is that is what I think. Now we are having disputes about that case itself. And he was here to warn me to take a step back from this case." " But you never wanted your grandma's property right, you said it yourself." "Yeah but I am fighting because I want to respect Ma's words." I said to both of them. "Are you now clear about this?" "Yeah we are thanks for telling all this to us it must have been hard" Aditya said. We ate our food in complete silenced and headed home. They said that they will always support me after getting into the car. I was now assured.

At home.
I entered in the hall quietly without making a noise. "Where were you Era?" I was caught red handed my Ma. I am so dead. RIP to me. Ma will kill me now. She warned me not to go out and being the adventurous girl I am, I went out without even informing her. Oh girl when will you stop chewing your own tongue. You get yourself in problem everytime. I was blaming myself and was going at the sofa where Ma was sitting looking dead serious.
