Chapter Twenty

Era's Pov.
Chris dropped me at home and went. I was yet thinking about what he said. Saying 'I want to marry my idol he is totally my type' is way different from really marrying him. I don't know. I want to help Chris I know how much he loves his father he often mentioned it many times in concerts and interviews. On other hand its my life's decision. I knew Chris but he doesn't know me. We both just met how can I think of marrying him?

Oh god this is so confusing.

"Era." Lisa entered my house and hugged me. "Aww, buddy how was your day?"
"Mine was great but it seems like you had a tough one."
"Actually it was kinda tough today as the day was towards the end."
"Oh don't worry everythings gonna be fine."
We heard a knock on the door.
"Whose this now?" Lisa said.
"Probably your mom. As usual you didn't tell her you are coming here right." She laughed guiltily.
"Naughty Girl."

I opened the door but it was Aster.
"Hello."
"Hi."
"Hey you little girl. How are you?" He said to Lisa.
"Hi. I am good. You?" She said and shaked his hands.
"Oh you have good manners."
"Of course. My mom taught me." We both chuckled.
"Okay I am going to my house. See you tomorrow buddy. Bye Mr. Aster."
"Bye cutie."
"See ya."

"Water?"
"Sure."
I grabbed him water as he made himself comfortable on the sofa.
"Well you here?" I asked him once he drank water.

"Actually I know what Chris told you today." He said and the atmosphere suddenly turned tensed.

"Aster actually."

"Listen Era I am not here to force you for anything. Just I am here to talk with you. I understand the dilemma you are in."

"Yes Aster. Its a big dilemma in front of me right now. One hand its Chris request and also his fathers wish who is in such circumstance. On the other hand its my life's decision. Marriage is not a game, is it?"

"Of course you are right. I understand you but I want to tell you something. Listen Era I know these circumstances are really complicated. I won't really want you to think selflessly and go out of the way for helping Chris and his father. After all I want you to be happy too. You're like my sister now and Chris is my little brother of course I would like you to marry him but not at the cost of your own happiness. Its uncles last wish. We all know the disease isn't curable anymore so I want you to grant his wish but also don't want you to sacrifice anything."

"Aster you're confusing me."

"Okay I'll go straight on you Era. Give me my answers sincerely forgetting the current circumstance. Tell me do you like someone? Do you have a person in your life already?"

"No. I don't."

"Do you like Chris's personality and his behaviour?"

"Yes."

"Do you like his way of handling things?"

"Of course. I adore it."

"Do you like his friendship?"

"Yes."

"Does he treats you well?"

"Yes."

"Do you like him?"

"I...I think yes." I said putting a little smile on my face.

"So what's the problem? Era every marriage isn't always love marriage. There are a lots of successful arrange marriages too. Think of it Chris is really good guy. He will never take any kind off advantage of you, he will always give you space. He will be by your side as a supporting friend. He won't ever treat you bad. He'll always live as your best friend and will try to make you ever happy. Isn't he a good match? Doesn't he live up to your expectations?"
