Chapter 21
My days with Aqui's house filled with delight and aptness, as I spend my day's with him I keep realizing how much I want to hold into all of those days, moments that become memories and memories that become my stock of happiness, moment where I lay in his master bed while his on the sofa, moments that he prepare dinner for me while I get the plates to wash them, moments where I sit on his sofa with him while watching a movie that just aired in the tv,moments when he pick me first at school just to drive me home because he's going back to his office to get his work done, moments where he get's home late while I'm waiting for him, moments when we go out to shop for our food and necessity, those moment I never knew would become a memory like a show on a old tape, memories that will forever be stuck on my videotrack
It's been 3 days already
"Eli hindi ka pa ba matutulog?" Tanong nito habang nasa likod ko at nakaupo sa sofa
Umiling ako "I need to finish this" sabi ko at nagpatuloy
"You've been staying up late since the day before yesterday, wala ka nang tulog, magpahinga ka muna"
Umiling ulit ako "I need to defend this bukas kaya kailangan ko na itong tapusin"
Tumayo ito at bumalik na may dalang tasa ng gatas
"Thanks"
"I just head to my study room okay" tumango ako at umalis na ito
Nagpatuloy ako kunti nalang at matatapos na ako, my eyes become blurry and sleepy, I'll check the time ala tres na pala, I wonder if natutulog na si Aqui
I rested my head for a bit, I'll set my alarm so I be sleep for just a minute magpapahinga lang ako
Nagising ako ng marining ang tunog ng oven hudyat na may kung anong iniinit si Aqui, kinurukus ko ang aking mata at tumingin sa palagid the light is no longer coming from the light inside it's coming from the ray of the warm sun, the smell of coffee as well as the smell of my favorite choco milk drink means It's morning
"Ahh!!" I yelled frustratedly, gusto kong maiyak dahil naka tulog ako, kunti nalang ang tatapusin sa aking thesis pero ngayong umaga iyon i dedefend, maliit pa naman mag bigay ng grado ang aming propesor pag hindi niya nagustuhan ang pagkaka defend, kung maka descriminate rin yun akala mo perpekto pangit na nga defense mo dadagdagan pa nito ng reklamo, shriek ano nang gagawin ko nito
Tiningnan ko ang cellphone ko ala syete na alas nuybe ang klase namin shriek kailangan ko pang i defense to kailangan ko pang pag-aralan to ng maigi ng sa ganon ay ma ideliver ko ito ng mabuti, will today my day when my professor will said how dissapointed he is with me, just imagining him saying "is this the best you can do, this is not high school anymore, can't you be more serious, decades of teaching but this is the worst I see" noo!! ayaw kung marinig yun, yumuko ako gusto ko nang maiyak kunti nalang luluha na ako pero wala nang oras para diyan agad akong nag-angat, I can't just give up, binuksan ko ang laptop ng makapag simula na
"Mag-almusal ka na" yaya ni Aqui na nasa gilid ko nakatayo umiling ako at nagtipa ng password nito, I feel like I won't be able to eat, I don't have apetite to even think of the breakfast he prepared, I'm literally about to break down right now
Bumuntong hininga ito "It's already done Eli"
Gusto kong maiyak sa sinabi niya no!, hindi pa kaya pato "No, I can still finished it, kaya pa to" my tone is breaking, my eyes is getting watery
"Your thesis is finished Eli" napalingon agad ako sa kaniya
"What do you mean?"
"Tinapus ko ito kagabi, I also prepared the materials you will use to defend it as well as possible question they will ask so don't worry about it and just come over so you could have breakfast" my mind still cannot process what he said so I looked at him with so much question in my eyes
Bumuntong hininga ito "You seem really tired last night so I check if you are done but you're not I turn off your timer when it rang-"
"Why did you do that!" Sigaw ko
"Calm down... you look really exhausted so I just continued what you're doing there's a guide so it's not that hard, I check over it from the top, so I was able to prepare what you will do, all of it is in there, you can just memorize it or what, you can do whatever you want just come and eat first okay?" Tiningnan ko siya gamit ang mapupungay kong mata, siya itong nag sabing wag mag puyat, siya rin naman itong gising magdamag tsk. But still I'm really thankful
"Thank you" sabi ko in a teary and happy tone but my voice is small, Ewan ko nga kong narinig niya
"No, problem, tumayo ka na diyan, you should eat na"
Tumango ako at kinuha ang laptop niya kaya nag taka ito,
"I'm going to study what you prepared" tumango ito, nang makaupo ako ay agad kong binasa ang ginawa niya, over-all it was perfect the material is great, it really focused on explaining my topic, para akong madamyorma doon dahil sa laptop lang ang tutuk ko while siya ay kung ano-anong nilalagay sa pinggan ko na parang pinagsisilbihan, kinakain ko naman ang mga pagkain na inilalagay niya
Binigyan niya ako ng hot choco drink kaya kinuha ko ito
"Careful" sabi nito don ko lang napansin na nakaharap pala ako sa laptop niya, kunting galaw lang tapon to sa laptop niya problema na naman, linayo ko ito ng bahagya sa laptop niya at tiningnan siya
"Sorry" sabi ko
"It's hot Eli baka mapaso ka" madiing sabi nito kaya napangiti ako, ako naman pala ang inaalala
Nang ihahatid niya na ako laptop niya parin ang dala ko at plinaplano ko na kung paano ko idedefense ang thesis ko, binubulong-bulong ko ang mga sasabihin ko kaya minu-minuto ang lingon nito sa akin kaya hindi ako makapag focuse
"You're distracting me Aqui" madiing sabi ko
"Sorry" sabi nito
Nagpatuloy ako pero hindi ito tumigil kakalingon sakin
"Stop staring" naiinis na saway ko sa kaniya
"You're bed hair is cute Eli" sabi nito kaya natigilan ako agad kong binaba ang salamin sa harap ko at kinapa ang buhok ko at inayos iyon, nag-iinit na ang pisngi ko, he keep distracting me
Tiningnan ko ito ng masama and he's grinning from ear to ear kaya sumimangot ako
"You're distracting me!!" Sigaw ko na
Tumawa ito kaya mas lalo ako nainis kaya nagpigil ito "My bad, say it out loud Eli stop murmuring you look like you're enchanting a curse on me" sabay tawa pa nito
"Tumigil ka pag to perfect fail hindi kita papansinin!!" Sigaw ko at binalik ang tingin sa laptop
Nagpatuloy lamang ito sa pagtawa ng makarating kami ay isinara ko na ang laptop at bumaba, I wave my hand before turning my back to him
"Eli..." tawag nito kaya huminto ako at nilingon siya "I know you're gonna nailed it, good luck" sabi nito kaya napangiti ako, I can feel my smile stretching toward my ear because of what he said tumango ako at kumaway sa kaniya
My defense went smoothly, opposite from what I thought it will be, I thought I gonna do bad but I just do what I always do but with more and much confident compared before, my day went by and I'm so happy I can't wait to see Aqui
Nang sunduin ako ni Aqui ay agad kong binalita sa kaniya ang lahat, I feel like I'm on cloud nine, mezmerising the moment and the memory we had this morning it was enchanted
Our days went like that, I'm the happiest everytime I'm with him but happy moment don't last forever, sunny days are bound to disappear once the cloud is filled with water, sun always rise but it also set, night is sometimes dark no moon, no stars, rain is light and sometimes it's heavy and when I thought my relationship with Aqui will always stay like this I realize, Happy relationship that seem like it will last forever isn't always a sure thing
