"You're never driving again." Glenn swallowed, still tightly clenching his hand on the doors.

Charlie left the car and rolled her eyes, walking around to get T-Dog out. "Come on! It wasn't that bad."

"Yeah, because it was much worse than bad," he said and finally left the car, taking the backpack. "I think I peed my pants."

"If you wanted to kill me, you could have not given the pills to me." T-Dog groaned. "Next time just shoot me instead of torturing me like this.

Charlie just rolled her eyes again and huffed. "Okay maybe I almost hit that tree and I barely made it to the turn? But we are here. What's the big deal?"

Glenn gave her a stare full of resignation but started walking towards the house. "So do we ring the bell? I mean it looks like people live here."

"We're past this kind of stuff, aren't we?" she said, holding up T-Dog.

"Having to be considerate." the sick man said.

"Did you close the gate up the road when you drove in?" the voice of a young woman startled the three of them.

Charlie saw a chick. The chick. The same that was in the woods earlier that day. The smirk bloomed on her face and she was quiet, letting Glenn do the talking.

"Uh, hi," he said. "We did close it. Did the latch and everything. Hello, nice to see you again."

"We met before briefly," Charlie explained as Glenn seemed to lose his words. "Look we came to help. Is there anything we can do?"

She walked up to them and her polite smile disappeared as her look fell on T-Dog's arm. "It's not a bite. I cut myself pretty bad though."

"We'll have it looked at," she said. "I'll tell them you're here."

"We have some painkillers and antibiotics. I already have him some." Glenn held up the plastic bag. "If Carl needs any."

"Come on inside," she answered. "I'll make you something to eat."

It was a rather warm night. Crickets were singing in the grass and the sky was full of stars. After such an intense day or days, such a peaceful and quiet night was something that probably all of them were looking for. It was like a well-deserved rest before tomorrow...

Charlie sat down next to Glenn and leaned head on his shoulder. His hand ended up at the knee as he was caressing it."So?"

"So what?" he asked.

"The chick." Charlie smiled and nudged him a little. "She's pretty."

"I knew it even before," Glenn answered.

"Well, I was too focused on the horse," she said. "She stormed through the woods like a freaking Lucky Luck."

Glenn snorted. "Dork."
