Class was long and boring, so as soon as they were dismissed Analeigh grabbed her bag and made a bee line for the door.
"Hey Analeigh, wait up!" Nolan called out, and Analeigh slowed down, allowing him to catch up. "Thought I could show you to your next class. Let me see your schedule." She handed it to him, and he cringed. "Well this class is on the opposite side of the school as my next one, and the teacher hates me but we better get going so you're not late." He grabbed her hand, pulling her down the hallway.
"Hey, I appreciate this and all but you don't have to do this, I don't want you to be late."
Nolan looked at her and smiled. "It's really not a problem, plus I want to get to know you better, and here's a perfect chance to." She looked at him confused, and he continued. "I wanna know like where you're from, and what you like to do in your free time, stuff like that." She nodded and stayed quiet, trying to think of everything to say. Nolan watched her fondly, noticing how she would bite her lip when she was focusing, and she'd ball her fists up.
"Um, well I'm from Illinois. I really like to draw, not to good at it though. I've been getting into guitar recently, so that's something else." She looked up at him smiling, and he smiled back, and stop walking, and handed her schedule back.
"I'll see you after this class to take you to lunch, and then we can continue this conversation." She nodded, and he took off down the hallway as the warning bell went off.
Walking into the classroom not knowing anyone was such a hard thing to do, and Analeigh could already feel her hands getting clammy as she took a step in the door.
"Analeigh Parker?" A lady with curly, brown hair asked, and she nodded. "Well welcome to my health class, I'm Ms. McGee. You can sit wherever there's an empty seat." Analeigh nodded once again, and spotted an empty seat in the front row. It was between two blonde girls, who seemed to be somewhat of friends as the chatted to each other. Analeigh didn't want to be rude and interrupt them but Ms. McGee cleared her throat and motioned for Analeigh to seat down. So she did.
The girls stopped talking, eyeing the girl who sat between them. They weren't upset, just curious, as they had already heard about her from Nolan. Word travels fast between their friend group.
"Hi you must be Analeigh." The girl on the right spoke, sticking her hand out to shake. "I'm Jennette." Analeigh took her hand, shaking it before being interrupted by the girl on the left. "And I'm Britt." Analeigh shook her hand as well.
"How'd you guys know my name?" Analeigh eyed the two girls whose eyes both widened.
"Um, Nolan told us about you." The both spoke at the same time, freaking Analeigh out.
"Oh okay, so you guys are friends with Nolan?" The girls eagerly nodded their heads, and then cringed simultaneously. "Are you guys alright?" The girls quickly began nodding again, and Analeigh turned her attention to the front of the classroom, hoping the lesson would start soon.
