It had been a few months since he had started to repair his relationship with Bruce. It was more of like they were respectful of each other.

Jason made his way down the street with his hood up. He kept to himself, he hardly ever even bought anything.

Not unless there was some kind of self check out.

"Read the latest, Crazy Crime Clown Killed!" A guy shouted from a newspaper stand.

What? Jasons.gaze landed sharply on the stack of newspapers.

"Breaking news this morning, Gotham citizens are waking up to a safer city thanks to a young man" a news women reported ona giant screen.

Jason hastily gave the man a crumbled bill and snatched the paper.

His eyes went back and forth, racing through each word. Jason found he had to reread it several times.

Apparently a complete civilian had shot the crime lord known as The Joker. His body had been cremated too.

Jason smiled in delight and absolute elation. There's no way Joker could come back.

He was dead!

Danny slipped from the apartment. He just wanted a walk to clear his head. It's not like he could go back to Gotham Academy while staring down murder charges.

Danny sighed. That incident set him back, now his powers wouldn't respond at all.

"YOU!" An angry voice exclaimed.

Danny wheeled around only to come face to face with Mark. Except this time he had a few friends.

"I don't know what trick you pulled last time but I'm gonna make you regret it" Mark promised.

Jason was practically skipping down the sidewalk.

Finally that evil, death worshipping, clownish, disgusting, revolting-

Jason's train of thought got caught off.

"Get him in the ribs!" One boy shouted.

Jason peered towards them to see three boys beating on a kid curled up on the ground.

"HEY!" Jason called. The boys heads jerked up startled before they scattered.

The bruised kid on the ground didn't  move.

Jason ran towards the kid.

Danny put his palms on the dirty pavement and forced his upper half up.

"Are you ok kid?" Jason asked.

The kid gave him a blank stare.

"I can help you walk if you need me too" Jason said. The boys eyes trailed to his hand, to the newspaper.

Jason glanced at the newspaper. The front cover had an image of civilian boy.

Jason's eyes widened as he looked back at the kid who was getting up.

"Your-"

"A murderer" Danny said finishing his sentence for him.

"Wait! Why were those kids beating up on you?" Jason asked.

Danny gave him a tired look.

"Because they can, because I'm too weak to fight back" Danny said as he pulled out his phone, ready to call Jazz.

"What if I helped you, train ed you to defend yourself?" Jason asked. He didn't know a thing about this kid.

His hero.

Danny gave him a sidewards glance.

"Why? What do you get out of it?" Danny asked.

"I get a sparring partner" Jason said.

Danny looked at his open key pad. Looking back at Jason he slid the phone back in his pocket.

"Alright"

Bruce Wayne was held up in the batcave typing furiously. He needed every bit of information he could get about Jokers murderer.

So far all he knew was that Danny had  lived in a supposedly haunted town until the-

Bruce paused. The tragic death of his parents. To which he moved with hso sister to Gotham. They've been in Gotham two years.

According to records Danny got into Gotham Academy on scholarship, which meant he was considerably smart.

Bruce picked through Danny's life, he noted that before moving to Gotham Danny's grades were terrible.

Bruce grunted in frustration. There wasn't a motive for that kid to even think about killing Joker!

"Perhaps the Police Commissioner will have more to say?" Alfred said with a question to his tone before setting down a mug of coffee.

Bruce sipped it.

"Perhaps..."
