After the incident at Hosu City, the Jedi Training Studies had come to an end. Katooni and Petro made their way to class where the rest of Class 001 were discussing their internships.
Ganodi: Hey, guys! We saw what happened on the news! Did you really fight the Hero Killer?!
Petro: And took him down!
Katooni: With help from some friends. But it wasn't just the Hero Killer we faced. The Sith launched an attack of their own.
Zatt: Huh. We had an encounter with some Sith during our internships.
Byph: S...so did we!
As everyone speaks about their internships, Professor Huyang entered the classroom. The Jedi Initiates of Class 001 took their seats.
Huyang: All right everyone. I hope you all learned something from your apprenticeships. Now we're getting ready for the Initiate Trials.
As Huyang said this, all of Class 001 were anticipating what the Initiate Trials would consist of. Huyang could see the look of anticipation in the eyes of his students.
Huyang: As many of you may know, the Initiate Trials is an important step on the road to becoming a Knight of the Jedi Order. Passing these Trials means you will all cease to be Initiates and will become Padawans. These Trials will test you in both mind and body. There Initiate Trials will consist of three tests. The first test is to test one's knowledge of the Jedi Code: the foundation of the Jedi Order. The second test will test your connection to the Force in both mind and spirit. The third and final test will be your most difficult. For the third trial, you must prove that you can overcome the Dark Side.
As Huyang spoke on the Jedi Initiate Trials, the Initiates of Class 001 were silent. Passing these Trials meant that they would advance to the rank of Padawan. All of Class 001 expressed excitement over the Trials, confident that they would pass them.
Huyang: Settle down, young ones. While I have no doubt that you will pass these trials, it is important to not let the excitement go to your heads. The Trials will begin a week from now. I would suggest that you take the time to prepare yourselves.
With that, the Initiates of Class 001 prepared themselves for the Jedi Initiate Trials. They would give the Trials everything they had. Meanwhile in the Council Chambers of the Jedi Academy, Yoda assembles a meeting of the other Jedi Masters to discuss the recent developments regarding the Attack on Hosu City.
Yoda: A troubling development this is.
Mace Windu: While the Hero Killer has been taken into custody, many people have taken heart to his teachings, adopting his ideology.
Tholme: And according to my informants, the League of Villains have taken up to associating themselves with the Hero Killer in an attempt to recruit more followers.
K'Kruhk: And then there's the Sith. Not only have they attacked Hosu City, but they've been attacking other Masters and students alike during their Training Studies.
Shaak Ti: What game are the Sith playing?
Yoda: Hhm....powerful the Dark Side is. Difficult to see it's true intentions it is.
As Yoda says this, he looks at the window to see a storm cloud brewing. The storm seemed like an omen. An indicator of what is to come.
Yoda: Hmm. Darker the coming storm grows. I fear the dark cloud of the Sith shrouds us all.
Mace Windu: I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi.
Katarn: Between the Sith and the League of Villains, we certainly got our hands full.
Ki-Adi Mundi: Master Tholme, is there a possibility that the Sith and the League of Villains are working together?
Tholme: I can't say for certain. Up until the attack on the USJ, the Sith were thought to have been destroyed. When I took Petro of Class 001 as my Padawan, the first thing I did was ask about what he knew about the attack. That information could prove invaluable to us down the line for when the Sith make their next move.
As Tholme said this, the Jedi Masters pondered on all of this. It was clear to them that Darth Krayt is planning something. The return of the Sith as well as the recent attacks from both the Sith and the League of Villains were all connected.
Yoda: Like fire across a forest, the shadow of the Dark Side spreads. Be prepared for the growing darkness we must. Remain vigilant we must.
As Yoda says that, his mind falls back to his duel against Darth Krayt at the USJ Facility.
Yoda(Past): Fought well you have, my old student. But over this fight is. Surrender and treated fairly you will be.
Darth Krayt(Past): This is just the beginning.
As those words echoed in Yoda's mind, it was clear to the Jedi Grandmaster that Darth Krayt had something sinister planned. It deeply troubled him.
Mace Windu: Master Yoda?
Yoda: Stronger the Dark Side has become. The Dark Side clouds everything. Hhm. Great care we must take.
With that, the Jedi Masters prepared themselves for when the next time the Sith would make their next move. But what they didn't realize was that the Sith had already set a sinister plan in motion. And this plan would not only deal a devastating blow to both the Jedi and the Hero Association, but to the very foundations of Hero Society. But for now, the Jedi Academy would continue on with the Initiate Trials.
