Chapter Thirteen - The Path Of The Jedi

After completing the Final Test, the Jedi Initiates exited the room and were greeted by a group of Jedi Knights. The Jedi Knights then escorted Class 001 to the Training Grounds. They were among the first group of Jedi Initiates who completed their Trials. Katooni was still in shock by the power she had just displayed. After some time, the rest of the Jedi Classes entered the Training Room, showing that they had completed the Jedi Trials. As all the Jedi Initiates were gathered in the Training Room, Cin Drallig addressed them. 

Cin Drallig: You have all done well to get this far. You have proven your resolve and your faith in the Force. You followed the will of the Force and it served you well as you have served the Force. You have overcome the challenges that came your way. You let go of your fear and doubt. 

As Cin Drallig speaks, many of the Jedi Initiates felt a rush of pride growing within them. This feeling was shared by the Jedi Masters present, including the Jedi Council. Professor Huyang and Kyle Katarn were especially proud of their students.

Cin Drallig: We are all Jedi. The Force speaks through us. Through our actions, the Force proclaims itself and what is real. Today we are here to acknowledge what the Force has proclaimed. You entered these training grounds as Jedi Initiates. I am proud to say that all of you standing before me now are now Padawans. 

Upon hearing this, many of the Jedi Initiates were taken aback by this. Their hard work had paid off. As for Class 001, they were especially proud of themselves for getting this far.

Cin Drallig: And though you are no longer Initiates, your journey into becoming fully fledged Jedi Knights are far from over. The road ahead is far from certain. The path ahead lies before you, Padawans. But know that as Jedi, you are never alone. May the Force be with you. 

With that, all Jedi students were dismissed. Class 001 were at a loss of words over their achievement. It wasn't long before they were approached by Professor Huyang. 

Huyang: Congratulations, students. I am very proud of you all. 

Katooni: T...thank you, Professor Huyang. We only got here thanks to your guidance. 

Petro: So what now? 

Huyang: As Master Drallig said, the road ahead lies before you. As Padawans, you will be assigned to a Jedi Master who will further your training. 

Ganodi: Does that mean you won't be our teacher anymore?

Huyang: Oh of course not, young Ganodi! Your Jedi Master will oversee your advanced training as you advance to the next rank of your training. I will still be your teacher, guiding you on your journeys. 

Katooni: We would be honored to have you teach us. 

Huyang smiled at Katooni's words. With that, Class 001 began making their way back to their dorms to turn in for the night. However, Katooni stayed behind. 

Petro: You coming with us? 

Katooni: I'll catch up. I need to talk with Professr Huyang.

As Petro and the others went ahead, Katooni spoke with Huyang about the lightning she shot from her fingers. As soon as she did, Huyang asked Katooni a question.

Huyang: Tell me, did you feel fear or anger when using it?

Katooni: I...I don't think so.

Huyang: Hmm...I believe you may have used Force Judgement.

Katooni: Force Judgement?

Huyang: A Light Side variation of Force Lightning used by the Sith. Master Plo Koon utilized this. If you have any questions on this ability, I'm sure Master Plo will be more than happy to answer your questions. 

Katooni: T...thank you, Professor Huyang.

Katooni then joined up with the others as they turned in for the night, eager for the next stage of their journey. As the Jedi Initiate Trials concluded, the Jedi Council met within the Jedi Council Chambers. 

Yoda: A productive day this was. Fine Jedi these Padawans will become. 

Mace Windu: Let us hope these Padawans are ready for the trials that lie ahead of them.

Ki-Adi Mundi: A feeling we all share, Master Windu. 

Shaak Ti: We have have nothing from the Sith since the attack on Hosu City.

Kit Fisto: Master Tholme is currently looking into the movements of the Sith. With luck, perhaps he'll find answers.

Yoda: Careful, Master Fisto. The Dark Side clouds everything. Remained quiet, the Sith have. Stuck to the shadows the Sith have. Great care we must take. 

Mace Windu: Agreed. We will await the results of Master Tholme's investigation. With luck, we may yet unravel the mystery of the Sith and their plans. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the training of the students and ensure the Jedi Academy remains safe and secure. May the Force be with us all. 

With that, the Jedi Council concluded their session. Yoda remained troubled by the lingering threat of the Sith. It was clear to Yoda that a storm was coming. And when that storm arrived, he feared for his fellow Jedi as well as the students under his watch. Regardless, Yoda would prepare himself for when that storm comes. Meanwhile, Darth Krayt and his allies continued biding their time. In Darth Krayt's eyes, everything was proceeding exactly as he had planned it. Now all that he needed was to bide his time for a little while longer until it was time for the Sith would make their move. And when they did, the entire world would suffer from the wrath of the Sith.
