Chapter Nine - Jedi Training

As they were made aware of the upcoming Initiate Trials, the Jedi Initiates of Class 001 seized the opportunity to prepare. After class, they make their way to the Training Grounds to practice their Force abilities. They started off easy by lifting small rocks. Petro decided to show off by using the Force to perform various tricks.

Zatt: Show off.

Petro: Pick up some tricks during my training studies.

Katooni: I doubt Master Tholme would approve of your showboating, Petro.

Petro: Just trying to lighten up the mood.

Katooni rolled her eyes as she and the rest of the Initiates of Class 001 continued to train for the upcoming Initiate Trials. As they trained on their Force Abilities, they also took the time to learn the Jedi Code. Heeding Professor Huyang's words, they not only learned the words, they pondered the meaning behind the words. Over time, the Jedi Initiates of Class 001 learned the Jedi Code by heart. Soon enough, they spoke to each other about the third part of the Initiate Trials.

Ganodi: Professor Huyang said that the third part of the Trials would have us prove that we can overcome the Dark Side. What do you think he meant by that?

Zatt: I guess the Jedi Academy are trying to prove that we can overcome the temptations of the Dark Side.

Petro: Well I'd say that we're doing a pretty good job in that department. I mean we've taken on the Sith and come out alright.

Katooni: There's more to the Dark Side than just fighting the Sith. The Dark Side can come from all sorts of negative emotions.

???: Right you are, young Katooni.

As the voice spoke out, Yoda was seen approaching him. Immediately, the Jedi Initiates bowed their heads to the Jedi Grandmaster.

Yoda: A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack. Anger, fear, aggression... the dark side are they. As a Jedi walks their path, face the temptation of the Dark Side, they do. Know why the trials are the way there are do you, hmm? 

Katooni: Why?

Yoda: The very tenants of the Jedi, the Jedi Code is. Guide the Jedi on their path they do. A Jedi's connection to the Force, powerful it is. Binds to all life forms, they do. A Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side. Anger. Fear. Aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow. Quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you it will

Byph: Is...is the Dark Side more powerful? The Sith we have faced....they're strong.

Yoda: No! No...no. Quicker. Easier. More seductive.

Gungi: <But how will we know the good from the bad?>

Yoda: You will know, when you are calm. At peace. Passive. Much to learn, you all still have. But in time, great Jedi you will become.

As Yoda offered his words of wisdom to the Jedi Initiates of Class 001, he walked away, leaving them to ponder his words. After they, they continued their training. While pondering Yoda's words, they wondered about the threat of the Sith.

Gungi: <What do you think the Sith are planning?>

Petro: Beats me. But if they try anything, we'll stop them.

Katooni: We shouldn't underestimate them, Petro. Each of us encountered the Sith during our Training Studies. Yet the Masters are not one step closer to finding out what their plans.

Zatt: The Sith have been pretty open in their attacks. It's like their trying to send a message.

Byph: But the Masters will defeat them, will they?

Petro: Of course they will, Byph. And even if they have trouble, we can easily give them a hand.

While Petro was confident that the Jedi could defeat the Sith, Katooni was unsure. It was clear to her that all of these attacks were working towards a greater goal. A goal that even the Masters couldn't understand. Despite this, Katooni had faith that the Force would guide them.

Katooni: We still have our training to do.

With that, the Jedi Initiates continued training for the Initiate Trials. Meanwhile at their hideout, the League Of Villains have grown since the incident with the Hero Killer. Since then, their numbers have expanded due to their apparent association with Stain. As Shigaraki began setting up a new plan, Darth Krayt along with Darth Talon and Darth Nihl entered the hideout.

Darth Krayt: Tomura Shigaraki. It's been some time.

Shigaraki: What do you want, Sith?

Darth Krayt: First off, I would like to congratulate you on your recent expansion. The Hero Killer has proved to be quite the boon for the League Of Villains.

Kurogiri: What brings you by, Darth Krayt?

Darth Krayt: A...mutual acquaintance has informed us of another attempt to lure out the Symbol Of Peace.

Upon hearing this, Shigaraki and Kurogiri paused, wondering how they knew of this.

Shigaraki: And what's it to you?

Darth Krayt: The Sith would like to offer aid in this endeavor.

Kurogiri: And why should we accept your assistance?

Darth Krayt: You are not the only ones with spies in the institution of our enemies. Just as UA is planning a secret training camp for their students, the Jedi seek to do the same. As powerful as you have grown, even you cannot hope to face the Jedi. But we can be what you would call....an equalizer.

As Darth Krayt said this, Shigaraki took a moment to think on this. The revelation that the Jedi would be involved would no doubt complicate his plan. With that in mind, Shigaraki accepted Darth Krayt's offer. In that moment, a deadly alliance had been formed between the League Of Villains and the Jedi.
