Chapter 17: Training with Aizawa

*After festival*

I was walking with Shinso. We were heading back to class. 

"You two. Come talk with me for a bit." I turned and saw Aizawa. We followed him into Class 1-A's classroom. He opened the door and we walked in. "Sit down." We both took two of the desks. He stood in front of us.

"Did we do something wrong?"

"No. I have some things I want to talk to you two about. Let's start with you, Shinso. I read your file. You have an impressive quirk but almost no combat experience. I want to train you to help you improve."

"Why me?"

"You can create a great hero with a quirk like that. You just need to learn how to fight. As for you, Akane. That quirk of yours. It was one of that a villain used. I saw them use it."

"I told Bakugo this already. I think they watched me training with my quirk and they copied it."

"How did you know they copied it?"

"Bakugo told me that the copy villain used it."

"Fine. How did you get so far in the festival but barely do anything in the tournament?"

"Shinso got me that far. I'm trying to use my quirk better but I don't have to train that often."

"Akane. You're lying again. She has impressive combat skills for her age and uses her quirk fairly well." I glared at him.

"Then why didn't she use them in the festival where she could have shown her skills?"

"I wanted to shine the spotlight on someone who would benefit from it, better than I would." He shook his head.

"Head to the forest tomorrow at 2 p.m. Both of you. I want to see your skills for myself and help you two improve. We have the next two days off so see me during then." We got up and bowed before leaving.

"Looks like we are training with Eraserhead tomorrow."

"I guess. It's going to be annoying since we just got done with the festival." Shinso rubbed his neck.

*Next day, Around 1 p.m. - Outside LOV*

I came back from the convenience store and I walked to my room. I closed the door behind me. Kage rumbed in between my legs. I pet him and opened my phone.  It's almost time to leave. I sighed and flopped down on my bed. I got up and changed into a black tank top and black leggings. I grabbed my backpack and packed it with the snacks and drinks I bought. I slid a knife at the bottom. I sighed. I guess I could get warmed up. I grabbed my bag gloves and put them on. I walked over to the punching bag. I put my headphones on and listened to music while warming up.

*45 minutes later*

I sighed. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. Great. Time to go. I grabbed a black hoodie and put it on. I turned to the window. It's best if I leave out the window instead of the door. Who knows what shit is going out there. I opened the window and climbed out. I closed it and started walking to the forest near the high school.

*10 minutes later*

I walked up to the forest. Shinso was waiting there. I waved and walked up to him.

"Hey, Shinso. Ready?" I took off my hoodie.

"Yeah. Let's go." We started walking into the forest. I looked around for Aizawa. I heard a sound. I turned to Aizawa coming towards us. He streched his scarf toards us. I caught it, wrapped it around my hand, and pulled Aizawa towards me. Aizawa came close to me. I grabbed his arm and threw him against a tree.  He got up.

"He wasn't lying. You understood what was going on quickly and acted fast. Impressive."

"I didn't do much."

"Now you are lying. You grabbed the scarf without hesitation and tossed me against a tree. You reacted fast and you are strong. I'm quite heavy and you throw me against a tree like I was nothing."

"The movement that already affected you which helped me make that attack more effective."

"Whatever. Let's get to work." 

Shinso and I just finished a sparring match. Shinso was exhausted from how much training we had done.

"Take a break, you two."

"I'm fine. "I walked over, opened my backpack, and tossed Shinso a water bottle. I stood up and looked at Aizawa.

"Really? Do you want to continue? You have done a lot. You must be tired."

"I'm fine. Let's continue." He sighed and shook his head. He tossed me a piece of fabric.

"Tie it around your eyes so you can't see. I want to test something." I did as I was told and tied the fabric around my eyes. I couldn't see anything. "I'm going to attack you and you try to stop me." I nodded. It was quiet for a while, and then he heard something approaching me. I grabbed the scarf lightly and jumped up. I felt something, Aizawa I'm guessing coming towards me. Once I thought he was close enough, I pulled the scarf straight down and Aizawa fell to the ground. I walked over to him and stepped on his back. "OK. Good job." I lifted my foot off him. I took the blindfold. Aizawa was getting off the ground. I looked at Shinso. He had a shocked look on his face.

"Can I see the piece of fabric?" I tossed it to him. He placed it over his eyes. "You definitely can't see out of that so how did you do that?"

"I heard the direction the noise was coming to jump up while grabbing the scarf. I used the scarf to make Mr. Aizawa fall to the ground. I knew where Aizawa was so I just made sure he wouldn't get up. It's not that hard."

"And you did all of that while blindfolded? How?"

"I just now how." I was trained to make sure that even blinded I could attack effectively.

"It's Impressive still. Not only are you good at combat but you use all of your senses to determine where I was and acted quickly to avoid being injured. Some people would have just dodged but you used it to your advantage and made sure I couldn't attack you again." I nodded. "I think we'll wrap things up here today. Shinso, you need to improve in combat, luckily Akane can teach you. As for you Akane, you could easily be a hero with how good you are. You two may leave now." We bowed and I grabbed my backpack to walk away. Shinso followed me.

"You are really good. You just won't admit it." I rolled my eyes and we continued walking.

"Let's grab something to eat." Shinso nodded.
