Chapter 16: Sports Festival (Fighting Tournament 2)

*Akane's POV*

I finished my match a while ago. I was forced out of the ring. I was sitting next to Shinso. Bakugo won his match against Uraraka. Kirishima won his arm wrestle against Tetsutetsu. I sat next to Shisno.

"Yo, Akane. How did you get to the final round but lose so easily?"

"Oh, Shinso got me to the end. I don't know why."

"Stop lying, Akane." I looked at Shinso. I glared at him.

 "She is good at combat and good with her quirk. She was able to use her quirk to help her move on but I did help help her to the end. As for her fight, she wasn't trying but she could have won easily."

"Stop making shit up. I'm not that good."

"You are the one making shit up. You are good but you just don't accept it." I rolled my eyes and looked at the match. It was Todoroki vs. Midoriya. I got up.

"I'm going to the bathroom."  I turned and walked away. I don't want to watch this. They just going to beat each other up. Todoroki is probably going to win. He is Endeavor'sson and has been training for years. I have been watching him for a few years now. I was by and Saw Endeavor walking out to watch. "Hey, you're Endeavor, right?"

"What do you want, child?" He glared at me. He had a bit of a surprise look when he looked down at me but quickly wiped it off.

"What was that face about?"

"Nothing. Just, you have the eyes of someone dead." He continued walking. He recognized my eyes after I had been "Dead" for eleven years. I continued walking.

*7 minutes later*

I sat back down. The match was almost over. I saw Todoroki use his quirk. What are you doing? You hate him and refuse to use his quirk so why are you using it now!? They both started moving towards each other and I saw how much power they were going to use. Right before they attacked each other, Cementoss created five thick slabs of cement and they broke all of them. It sent a huge gust of wind. I tried to block it. The wind slowed down and the smoke cleared. I spotted Midoriya, who was out of the ring, which meant Todoroki won. Damn it. I looked over to Todoroki. Half of his shirt was gone because of his fire. Midnight announced that Todoroki won. 

*5 minutes later*

I waited for the next match, Bakugo vs. Kirishima. Iida and Tokoyami won their matches.  I think Bakugo is going to win. The match started. Kisishima tried to hit Bakugo but only scratched his cheek. Bakugo exploded Kirishima's side but he hardened himself so he wouldn't get hurt. Kirishima kept himself hardened while he threw punches at Bakugo. Bakugo blocked all of the attacks. After a bit, Bakugo exploded Kirishima's other side but this one affected him. His quirk is weakening. Bakugo exploded Kirishima over and over again until Kirishima passed out. Midnight ended the match.

"Bakugo is something. His quirk is strong."

"Yeah. He is fairly strong, too." I nodded. A little bit later, the next match started. It was Iida vs. Todoroki. Todoroki tried to freeze Iida but Iida ran to the other side. Todoroki tried again but Iida ran to the middle. Todoroki tried yet again but Iida jumped at him and tried to kick him with his Recipro Burst to make his kick stronger. He missed the first kick but he got Todoroki on the second kick. He grabbed Todoroki and started to drag him out but Todoroki froze his muffles and was frozen in place. I sighed. He might have been able to win. Midnight ended the match. A few minutes later, it was Bakugo vs. Tokoyami. Tokoyami tried to use Dark Shadow to attack but Bakugo exploded him. Bakugo continues to hit Dark Shadow and push Tokoyami. Bakugo ran towards Tokoyami and jumped up. Dark Shadow tried to block Bakugo but Bakugo exploded him, again. He landed behind Tokoyami. Dark Shadow tried to block but Bakugo created a huge explosion. The smoke cleared and Bakugo had Tokoyami pinned to the ground. Tokoyami surrounded and Midnight ended the match.

*A few minutes later*

I sighed. I looked down. Final match. Bakugo vs. Todoroki.

"This is going to be interesting best they both strong." Shinso nodded. The match started. Todoroki created an ice prison around Bakugo. Explosion noises were coming from the ice. Bakugo busted from the ice prison. Bakugo stood there, placing his hands on the ice. After a bit, he exploded himself towards Todoroki while Todoroki ran at him. Bakugo exploded himself to move to the left of Todoroki and grabbed his head and shoulder, landing on the ground, and throwing Todoroki to the edge of the ring. Todoroki created an ice wave for him to land on and slides towards Bakugo. He tried to get Bakugo but missed and wrapped around him. Bakugo tried to explode Todoroki but Todoroki grabbed his arm and threw Bakugo. Bakugo and Todoroki landed on the ground. Bakugo said something. Aizawa was talking about each of the opponents. Bakugo held his hands close together and created explosions. He said something to Todoroki. Bakugo started running towards Todoroki. I heard Someone shout something. I turned and saw it was Midoriya. Bakugo exploded the ground, launching himself in there air toward Todoroki. Todoroki melted off the frost on his body and activated his fire. Bakugo created a tornado of smoke and moved towards Todorki. Todoroki held his hand out, ready to use his fire but then got rid of the fire and lowered down his arm. Bakugo created a huge explosion and destroyed the massive ice prison. The smoke cleared and I saw Bakugo on the ground and Todoroki passed out, and out of the ring on a pile of ice. Bakugo got up and started walking towards Todoroki. Bakugo ran towards him, grabbed him, and held his other hand like he was going to explode him. He shouted at Todoroki. Midnight used her quirk to make Bakugo fall asleep. Midnight ends the match and says that Bakugo won. Present Mic announced that Bakugo was the winner of this year's sports festival for the first years. 

*Ten minutes later - inside Sports Festival stadium arena*

I stood next to Shinso. There were colored smoke explosions above us. Midnight announced that the award ceremony was starting. There were fireworks above us. In front of us, right behind Midnight, there were explosions of confetti and smoke. The smoke cleared and podiums started rising. Bakugo was chained to a wall with his hands together and his mouth closed. He was on the first-place podium, Todoroki on the second, and Tokoyami on the third. Iida should be on the third, too. Bakugo was squirming aorund, trying to fight Todoroki, I'm guessing. Midnight explained why Iida wasn't there. All might jumped down from the top of the building as Midnight announced that All Might was handing out the awards. I sighed. Let's get this over with.
