"You're right. I really don't like this plan." Issac mumbled as Steve drove to the airport. He was currently sitting in the passenger's seat of his small call, unfortunately leaving Bucky and Sam to have to sit beside each other in the back seat. The tension was nearly tangible, he wasn't sure which one would break first if he was being honest. He glanced in the rear view mirror once more, grinning slightly in amusement as the two grown men glared at each other once again.
"You got anything else in mind?" Steve asked playfully.
Issac sighed, leaning back in his seat as he rubbed his aching temples. If they continued to run, Tony and whoever would eventually eventually find them. Maybe if Tony heard the other half of the story, he would understand and they would come to an agreement of sorts.
They pulled into the lot a few spaces away from a large white van, Steve turning the car off as they all climbed out. Clint stepped around the van, followed by Wanda who climbed out of the passenger's seat. Boy, were they a sight for sore eyes.
"Cap." Clint greeted them, surprisingly with a grin.
"You know I wouldn't have called if I had any other choice." Steve sighed, looking at least slightly guilty as the two shook hands.
Issac walked over to Wanda, letting out a heavy sigh before smiling tiredly at her. She smiled in return, crossing her arms over her chest.
"You look like shit." she stated bluntly, reverting to Sokovian.
Issac let out a small laugh, raising an eyebrow at her.
"I haven't had much of a chance to powder my nose over the past two days." He joked, slipping his left hand into his pocket to take some of the pressure off his collarbone.
They were both torn from their conversation by the sound of the door opening, a middle aged man flinching awake inside. He blearily climbed out of the vehicle, looking around before his eyes practically sparkled at the sight of Captain America. Issac and Wanda stepped back, both watching in amusement as the man shook Steve's hand for what had to be a solid minute.
"Captain America...this is awesome!" He grinned, turning to look around at the group. "Captain America-" he gestured to the man as if they didn't know who he was. "I know you guys too, you're great!" He grinned at Wanda and Issac as well.
Issac raised an eyebrow while Wanda tilted her head with a grin, the two of them laughing softly at his antics. It was a much needed moment of comical relief, Issac feeling more relaxed than he had in the past forty eight hours.
The mood turned serious once the greetings were over, Steve giving Scott a brief rundown of what they were dealing with. Issac also threw in the fact that if they failed, they were all going to be locked in some maximum security prison in the middle of nowhere, just so it was out there.
"Thanks for the pep talk." Bucky mumbled sarcastically, seeming more like the man Steve was trying to save than what Hydra turned him into for a bit.
Issac simply shrugged, looking around as the PA system was activated. Someone was saying something in German, and Issac internally kicked himself for not getting around to learn more languages.
"They're evacuating the airport." Bucky translated for them, standing up a bit straighter.
"That's Tony." Issac sighed, looking over at Steve. "We should get moving." he mumbled, earning a nod of agreement from the other.
"Suit up."
