Flashback -
"Mam, there is something which we were not aware of" Rohit mumbled barging into her cabin making her furrow her brows.
"I'm all ears" She said giving him her whole attention.
"Mam, Akriti is promised to someone" Rohit said making Parinidhi tilt her head with a frown.
"Promised?" She asked making Rohit nod and the name he uttered made her freeze.
"To Vikram chauhan"
"Are you kidding me?" Parinidhi's eyes widened. She stood up from her seat, startled. She stared at him for a few minutes digesting the new found information. She bit her lip think deeply and her inner voice screamed.
'THIS. IS. SO. FUCKED. UP!!!.'
"But how can it be possible? They both are rivals, aren't they?" Her question made Rohit nod again.
"They are, Rathores and Chauhans have been enemies from years. The both families were blood thirsty until one day this bomb named pact fell between them" and he added
"From our sources, the only thing we could find out is Vikram chauhan was the one who put this pact forward, few years ago, maybe 5 years ago"
"Peace in exchange of his sister?"
"I'm sure Rudransh wouldn't have agreed" Parinidhi mumbled with utter surety and Rohit nodded positively at her.
"Rudransh didn't agree and even declined very harsh manner, but something happened which no one actually know, that made Akriti say 'yes' to the pact, going against her brothers"
Parinidhi sighed taking seat rubbing her face with her palms she asked
"But why were we never informed about it?" Rohit shrugged.
"This is something which both the parties have kept private because of safety reasons. And it's been years. Even when rudransh was not happy with her sister's decision and the pact, he couldn't do anything when his sister already signed the papers apart from putting forward some conditions, which include, that Vikram chauhan would not be able to interfere in Akriti's life until she reaches 28 years."
Parinidhi sighed hearing all the information. Rohit frowned mumbling
"But why the hell he would want his sister? Is it because he want to take revenge by torturing her or something?"
Parinidhi shook her head at him replying
"Neither Vikram nor Rudransh are stupid. Rathores and Chauhans are equally powerful. Vikram clearly knows, that one scratch on Akriti can make Rudransh burn the whole world. He won't risk that possibility"
