Rudransh looked at her as she glared at him hard and picked up the cub that was weeping softly on the ground.
Without saying a word, she walked out of the room with the cub in her arms, close to her chest.
He stood there for a few minutes, not knowing what got into him, staring at the door that she went out from and sighed.
Parinidhi stomped out of the room with a furious demeanor. Her movement was fast clearly showing how angry she is and her hold on the cub was firm and protective, showing how much she loved the small creature even if it's been a few minutes since their bond.
"Pari!"
She heard his scream yet she kept on walking. Walking inside the room, she took a seat on the couch.
Rudransh followed her behind and immediately kneeled down before her
"Baby -
"Now do you get why I'm so persistent about you getting the treatment immediately?"
Rudransh stared at her speechless. Parinidhi scoffed and looked away.
"I- I get it"
"No you don't!" She snapped narrowing her eyes at him.
"No you don't get it. You don't get what I'm going through, what I'm feeling. You don't get anything. If you keep acting like the way you did a few minutes ago. I can't deal with it Rudransh you don't fucking understand it. You could never!"
Rudransh stared at her feeling dejected. He lost his control. And he was not even aware of it until she snapped him back into reality with her slap.

"Please. Stop"
She sighed closing her eyes suddenly feeling tired. Rudransh stared at her face feeling nothing but guilt.
Just a few moments ago she was glowing with happiness and now, she is not even looking at him.
Painful silence bounced between the walls as he kept staring at her face without uttering a single word.
"Just imagine" Parinidhi spoke glancing at him with defeated look.
"What if it was our own child instead of the cub in my arms? Would your reaction would be the same?"
Her question pierced through the heavy air in the room as Rudransh's mind turned completely blank. Would he? Without realising, he lowered his gaze from her. Even though she knows the answer, his silence just increased the heaviness of her heart.
