"What are you doing here?"
Sanjana asked looking at her sister who was unusually glowing with happiness. She raised her brow when Parinidhi sweetly smiled at her.
Sanjana looked down at her hand which was devoid of the plaster.
"Your hand is okay now? It is healed?" Parinidhi grinned at her and nodded.
"Yes! And now, we are going out!"
Sanjana narrowed her eyes, removing the specs she was wearing, she placed them neatly beside her laptop.
"No"
"I never asked"
Parinidhi's grin widened as Sanjana calm demeanor crumbled with annoyance.
"I have work and my patients are waiting" Sanjana stated the fact making Parinidhi roll her eyes.
"More important than your beautiful sister? Hm?" Parinidhi said blinking her eyes.
Sanjana made a gauging face at her cute expression.
"This look is not going to work on me, Nidhi."
"Don't you want to buy some a dress for your sister's engagement?" That made her stop in tracks.
"Your WHAT?"
Parinidhi chuckled and nodded making Sanjana get up from her seat. She started jumping on her feet in excitement but her smile immediately dropped remembering the past, unexpected events.
Parinidhi pressed her lips looking at her sudden change and sighed
"Sanjana"
Holding her shoulders, she made her sit on the couch near by and took a place beside her. Sanjana remained quiet as Parinidhi took her hands into hers and started to speak
"First of all, I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this shit alone and the way I behaved, the way I refused to listen to you. I'm sorry."
Sanjana stared at her sister completely astonished. Is she imagining it or the great Parinidhi Gupta is apologising to her.
They are close, like very close but the way she is talking to her, more freely and with gentleness, it was completely new.
"And about you seeing Rudransh coming to my room and everything. All I can suggest to you is to forget about it."
Her voice turned even more soft making Sanjana wonder about the last time she heard such tone of her sister.
Which is probably the day she cried in her sister's bedroom over a boy.
"I know you find him wrong and uncomfortable but just remember that it's not only the actions that count but also the intentions behind it."
