The next morning, at dawn, San slowly dressed in Wooyoung's clothes. Today he would be forced to go hunting for the first time. He would have liked to postpone that moment as long as possible.

"Come on, let's go before the streets start getting crowded," Wooyoung urged him.

"I'm coming."

San put on some sunglasses with the darkest lens he had ever seen and followed Wooyoung out of the house with hesitant steps.

"Listen, do I... what should I do when we find... a person? Should I approach them in some particular way? I feel uncomfortable."

Wooyoung chuckled. "I'm afraid it will be a miracle today if you don't jump on them as soon as you smell them from ten feet away."

San swallowed. It seemed impossible for him to do such a thing. Then he understood.

There was a woman. He still could not see her but he could smell her. She wore a too strong and cheap perfume, but fortunately it was not intense enough to cover the smell of her blood. He had never felt such an attraction.

His legs moved on their own. He began to run as he had never done in his life. It felt like he was fast-forwarding through a movie and in no time he was in front of her.

The girl was obviously a prostitute. When she saw him coming she did not have the time to scream because San was already latched onto her throat, clutching her with his arms to keep her from moving.

Her blood caused him an indescribable adrenaline rush; it was even better than Wooyoung's blood. It was an immense pleasure he would have never wanted to feel. He could not stop, his mind was totally clouded. Then he felt two arms hold him in turn and felt himself being torn from the girl's body.

Seeing a trickle of blood down her neck, he immediately got up to go back to what he was doing, but Wooyoung blocked him, slamming him hard against the wall to stun him and then pulling him far away from the woman.

"STOP! THAT'S ENOUGH!"

Only when he was further enough was he able to come to his senses. The woman was looking at him with a terrified and distraught expression. Her face was streaked with tears and she had not yet escaped only because she had lost so much blood that she was on the verge of fainting.

Had he been the one to reduce her like this...?

When Wooyoung saw him come back to his senses he let him go, walking toward the girl with his hands raised in a reassuring manner. He knelt in front of her.

"I don't want to hurt you, I want to help you."

The girl continued to sob, but she did not run away. After all, Wooyoung was the one who had saved her from the psychopathic maniac who had suddenly attacked her.

Wooyoung handed her a handkerchief, helping her wipe away her tears and dab the wound.

"Don't be afraid. Nothing serious happened. Your last customer was really a pervert, he even bit the hell out of you. Nothing that a nice hot shower and some rest can't make you forget. Am I right?"

San saw the woman instantly stop crying and freeze.

"...Indeed. These days men are more and more sick in the head."

With that said, the woman got back on her feet as if nothing had happened, walking away with a shaky step.

San was bewildered. What had he just witnessed? Wooyoung was beside him in less than a second.

"How do you feel?"

"What did you do to her?"

"I manipulated her memories a little. We can't have someone running around telling people about us, can we?"
