The next morning, when they got up they went to the living room to tell the others what happened. Hongjoong, sitting on the sofa, looked at them, raising an eyebrow. He moved his finger a couple of times between them.

"You two. There's something different about you."

San and Wooyoung exchanged a glance, smiling.

"Have you finally made up?"

"Not only that," Wooyoung said. "San made several interesting discoveries yesterday. Yeosang!" he shouted.

Yeosang put his nose out of his room. By now he was strong enough to move and get out, but the healed flesh of his shoulder was still tender and sore. He still spent most of his time sleeping to save energy and heal faster.

"What is it?"

"You come down here too. We have some things to tell you."

Yeosang arrived at the sofa dragging his feet, throwing himself on it with a dramatic sigh. Wooyoung held back a laugh; according to him, he had taken a liking to being spoiled and pampered by everyone because of his condition.

Wooyoung took San's hand, clearing his throat. He did not know where to begin.

"So, we wanted to tell you that last night, San and I... we... tightened the bond."

Yeosang raised an eyebrow. "What is that supposed to mean? You got married?"

Wooyoung felt himself blushing furiously. San evidently decided to rescue him and answer.

"Yesterday I mentioned to Seonghwa that I was drinking Wooyoung's blood, and he told me many things about it that we did not know. First of all, under normal circumstances, drinking the blood of a vampire is poisonous. It leads to death within minutes, so — don't do it."

Yeosang looked at Hongjoong in disgust. "It would never cross my mind to do such a thing."

Hongjoong ignored him. "Very interesting. I don't think many people are aware of it, I'd never heard of it. We could use this information to our advantage, should the day come when we have to defend ourselves."

"Indeed, much cleaner and simpler than ripping out a heart and setting it on fire," Wooyoung commented.

"Moreover," San resumed, "He explained to me that in the rare case you can drink it, it's because those two vampires are destined to form a bond. It is the strongest bond possible for our species. Each vampire is destined for one, but not many are lucky enough to find it."

Wooyoung and San looked at them full of expectation, eager to see their reaction. Hongjoong and Yeosang remained silent for a moment, impassive. The first to speak was Yeosang.

"Honestly, I'm not very surprised. It's been since Wooyoung came home six years ago, enthusiastically telling us about a certain brat he had helped with the frogs of the science experiment, that I knew there was something going on between you two."

"Yeah. Besides, I'd never seen two vampires wanting to feed on each other — that would never cross my mind."

"Then I hope you find someone who will make you change your mind," San smiled.

"Does that mean that you also... drank his blood?" asked Yeosang to Wooyoung.

Wooyoung nodded, "I should have done that long ago. But I couldn't know that. That's why I've been sick for the last period. But don't worry about me, I'm fine now. In fact, I've never been better."

"And are you... still hungry?"

"If the question is whether we still need human blood, we don't have the answer yet. We are not hungry now, but we can't say in the long run. Now excuse us, we have something to do," Wooyoung said, getting up from the sofa, followed by San.
