THE DAY EVERYTHING CHANGED

Wooyoung was picking up San from work. As usual. That day he had a surprise for him.

He waited patiently for him outside the flower shop, leaning against the wall next to the door. When San finally came out, walking up to him with that beaming smile, Wooyoung couldn't help but smile back.

After walking for a while, listening to how his day had been, Wooyoung took his arm, dragging him into a secluded alley.

San looked around, confused. "Wooyoung...what are you doing?"

"I wanted to give you something, when I saw it I thought it was perfect for us."

He pulled out of his backpack a small case containing a black rose that had been treated in some unnatural way. It would have remained fresh forever. It was just like Wooyoung. Dark and still in its state of apparent perfection.

San looked at it in fascination taking it gently between his hands. "How beautiful, Wooyoung. Where did you find it? Why is it perfect for us?"

"Because it's is just like me. I, too, cannot grow old. I, too, will forever stay the way I am because something happened to me. I have been lying to you for six years, but now I have to tell you the truth, or else I will lose you soon."

San looked at him confused. Wooyoung could not blame him. He took the rose from his hands, putting it back inside his backpack. Then he put his hands on San's shoulders, pushing him against the wall.

"Wooyoung, what are you doing?"

"I want you, San. I want you in ways your mind can't even imagine. I cannot lose you. If after you find out the truth about me, you'll still love me, I will be yours forever."

San looked at him with a mixture of curiosity, fear, and confusion. Soon he would have understood everything.

Wooyoung breathed the sweet scent of his blood, allowing his canines to come out, his eyes to turn pitch black. San paled, shocked. Wooyoung had a feeling he was on the verge of try escaping, but he did not let him. He crushed him against the wall, pouncing on his throat, finally savoring the blood he had dreamed of for years, ignoring San's desperate cries, the way he was trying his best to get free...

Wooyoung jolted awake, shocked. He noticed that his canines were out and, seeing that San, beside him, was waking up, he hurried to resume a completely human form.

Vampires did not need to sleep, but they could do it. Since Wooyoung had started spending his time with San, he had started sleeping again after many years, falling into the boy's routine. However, he never dreamed. It was the first time in six years that this had happened to him. Why had he had such a dream?

San opened one eye. "Wooyoung...are you okay? Did you have a nightmare?"

"...Yes."

San grabbed him, pulling him against his chest. "Come here. Think of something else."

Wooyoung found himself momentarily shocked by that close contact, especially after the dream he had had. However, in no time, he felt extremely relaxed. San had that effect on him.

It was just a dream. It didn't mean anything. Nothing.

However, Wooyoung decided not to try to fall back asleep. He did not want to risk dreaming of that frightening scene again. The next morning, San stretched under him. Wooyoung immediately moved away.

"Sanie... did you sleep well?"

"Yes. What about you? Were you able to fall back asleep?"

"Yes."
