"We'd like to see our brother. His name is Diego Hargreeves." Five tells the lady at the front desk.
As soon as we stepped into this place, a chill went down my spine, making me shiver slightly. This place gives off really creepy vibes. I mean, it is an asylum. I've got to deal with it though, because we've got to get to Diego.
"Where are your pa-" The woman starts to ask.
"Hey! Don't question us, lady. Just take us to him already." I interrupt her and shortly after, we're lead to a white room to wait for them to bring Diego to us.
Five sits in one of the chairs, while I pace around in a small circle behind him. "I wonder how long he's been here..."
"He easily could've been here for a year or maybe he's just been here for a week. The possibilities are endless." Five replies.
The door opens, making me stop pacing and stand behind the chair Five is sitting in. Diego slowly walks in. "Five...Y/n..."
"Hey, Diego." Five greets. Diego sits down in the chair across from Five and I. "You look good in white."
I nod. "Yeah. It's definitely...different. I mean, the only thing I've ever seen you in are these shitty uniforms and your shitty black suit."
"About time you showed up." Diego says, completely ignoring our comments.
"How'd you know I'd be back?" Five asks.
Diego leans toward us. "Because that's the kind of shit you pull. You did show up out of nowhere the last time too."
Five leans toward him. "Where are the others?"
"They're not with you?" He asks, then leans back in his seat. "You both appeared here together?"
"Obviously." I say, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. "No need to worry. We'll find the others...eventually. Anyways, how long have you been here for?"
"Seventy-five days." He answers. "I landed behind the alleyway behind-"
"Commerce and Knox." We all say in unison.
Diego looks at us, slight confusion written on his face. "You guys landed there too?"
I finally sit down in the other chair. "Yeah. We arrived this morning."
"How'd you find me?" He asks.
Five pulls the newspaper page out of his pocket. "Page sixteen." Diego sighs, as he opens the page up and holds it out in front of me. "Would you like to do the honors?"
"Sure. Thank you." I take the page and start reading it off. "'Disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N. Beckley.'" I lay the page down. "Hold on...that's Lee Harvey Oswald's house, right?"
Five nods. "Yes. It is. So..." He drawls. "Do you want to explain what you're doing, Diego?"
"Let's just say that Dallas Law Enforcement has not been very supportive of my attempt to stop the assassination of..." Diego leans closer to whisper. "John F. Kennedy."
"That's because it hasn't happened yet, dumbass." Five replies.
"And it's not going to happen." Diego adds. "Not on my watch, anyway..."
He leans even closer to us. "Look. I've been shaving down the bars of my room. Another day or two and I'll be out of this place. Then, I'm going to stop Oswald and save the president. If you guys want in, just say the word."
"Listen to me, you gibbering moron! You're not going to do a single thing." Five demands.
Diego raises his eyebrow slightly. "Why not?"
