☕️ Chapter Eighteen ☕️

"Ok, so now that we're all together, has anyone seen Five?" Allison asks.

Diego, Vanya, and I didn't really have to wait that long for Allison and Luther to come back with Klaus, but it took longer than I wanted it to, since Five's life is on the line. I mean, he's with someone that really wants to kill him right now.

I cross my arms. "No. That's why we all had to gather here together. We need to work together to find him. He just jumped with Lila following."

"Speaking of her..." Luther looks at Diego. "She can blink like Five."

"Yeah. That bitch just rumored me like it was no problem." Allison adds.

"And she destroyed, like, half the farm with a shock wave, similar to Vanya's power." Klaus remarks. "So unoriginal."

"If she can do everything we can, she might as well just be one of us." Vanya suggests.

I roll my eyes. "I've already explained this once today. So, listen very closely to me. She is like us. She can use all of our powers, but she can only use one at a time. She almost killed me the other day using my telekinesis."

"No...no, no, no. It can't be." Luther mumbles.

I sigh. "That's what I thought when Five and I fought her the other day, but then it came to me as a reasonable conclusion. She has to be like us."

"She's right. You don't get powers like that from the Commission." Diego says, siding with me.

"Nah. I mean, it's only been the eight of us..." Klaus disagrees.

"Maybe we need to consider that there's more of us out there." Vanya suggests.

"Should we even be surprised?" Allison asks. "I mean, Dad never told us the whole truth about anything."

"But she's not our biological sister...right?" Diego asks.

I raise an eyebrow. "Diego...none of us are related, biologically speaking."

He nods stiffly. "Right..."

"Anyways." Luther starts. "If she can mirror our powers, that means anything we throw at her, she can match, right?"

"Yeah, but you've got to remember what Y/n said. She can only mirror one of our powers at a time." Klaus holds up one finger.

Allison looks at me with an unsure look. "Are you sure about that?"

I nod. "Yes. I'm positive. She-" A loud shout comes from inside the barn, cutting me off. I look over at the building. "Five."

I start running up to the sliding door with the others behind me and when we reach the doors, all that's seen is Five and Lila facing each other.

"She had me kill your parents. She never cared about them. She was looking for you." Five tells her.

"Why?" Lila asks.

Diego pushes past me and enters the barn. "Because you're one of us." Lila quickly turns around. "The Handler stole you, Lila. Just like our asshole father took all of us."

"No." She shakes her head. "It's not the same thing."

"You're right." Diego agrees. "Because he didn't have our parents murdered."

I sigh. "He only bought us from our parents for a lot of money. The eight of us just so happened to be the lucky ones with parents willing to give their own child away for money."

She holds her knife out towards Diego, who cautiously holds his hand out toward her.

"Just listen to me, Lila." Diego tells her softly. "You were born October 1st, 1989, the same day as all of us."
