Cicadas were busy chirping instead of birds and once again as her footsteps drew near with two bags in hand: one stuffed to the brim without being zipped up while the other was a duffel bag. Her navy skirt reached her shins. Classmates avoided her gaze and scurried off muttering and mumbling to each other. It was as if the warm sunlight that seeped through the windows of the school were snuffed out by her shadow with each step she took.

Before long, her feet kicked open the teachers' office. All greetings were lost as teachers filed out like school of fish from the door. I mean, wearing the winter uniform instead of the summer one heightened the whole school population's fear of her.

"Ah," her homeroom teacher shuffled some papers together to ease their nerves; "Natsume-san. Picking up your friend's homework again?" The junior high schooler's hand was stretched out in response. Meekly, he handed over the papers. "You should really tell him to do his homework, alright?"

"Didn't I explain last time? He'll finish them by the end of summer."

"And it is the end of summer classes, Natsume-san!"

"Not the end of summer though," she argued. "You might as well get suspended for miscommunication as you were unclear with your wording."

Her teacher sighed and gave up. "Alright, alright. End of summer then. But remember, you both must score full marks on your final exam of the year."

"Thank you, sensei."

Under their breath, they huffed. "Todo Aoi has such a loyal friend. I can't tell if that's a good thing or not."

Neither can the author. It was baffling how someone as skilled and cold as her had been friends with the aggressive and easily bored monster fanboy known as Taka- Todo Aoi. For years. Years. Todo Aoi was a delinquent not to be messed with.

And by extension Natsume Tami was as well.

As usual, the spluttering and hammering against the concrete foundation of the bridge was heard. "That's what you get for stealing the money I saved up for a chance to enter Takada-chan's meet and greet," her friend seethed. Landing a gutted kick against the perpetrators, "you guys aren't even that strong and you tried ganging up on a kid like me?"

Dropping their bags down, she quickly snapped his attention away from them. "Aoi, I got the other papers," she stated, rolling up her sleeves. The bruised and beat up dudes sighed in relief as she would be weaker right?

With a deep breath, she began to viciously rant at them. "You can't steal MY MONEY from the SAVINGS for LIMITED EDITION TAKADA-CHAN MERCHANDISE! YOU HEAR ME?!" Slamming their heads together. "THERE'S ONLY GOING TO BE 25 LIMITED SHINY TAKADA-CHAN KEYCHAINS RELEASED IN THE NEXT WEEK AND I NEED TO GET 2 YOU HEAR ME?!"

"Takada-chan?" They only croaked out. "Who is that?" Enraging her further, she booted them into the shallow river.

How insulting, they both grimaced. Sure Takada was a rather underground idol when they discovered her content but her cuteness and charisma was IT.

By 2015, she had appeared on more broadcasts and even established her own youtube channel. People started to love her. The two of them had for a longer time.

In fact, she had dragged him into the idol fan culture. On accident. Mellowed rage masked a blue-tinted yellow daffodil anyways. He wouldn't know about it.
