•. GOING HOME .• ACT I CHAPTER VI (Madelyn)
"YOU OKAY?" CARLOS asked the other blond as he helped her jump down the big pipe. "Never better!" The girl breathed out.
"Are you still high on adrenaline?"
Madelyn smiled at the boy, "Of course!" He shook his head, chuckling at the demi-god as they both ran after their friends into the limo, quickly throwing the swords into the trunk.
Mal and Ben were the last to jump in the car as Jay drove off. The group leaned in their seats, panting, and looking around for any sign of the pirates.
"They're my people too." Evie and Mads shared a glance as they heard Ben's voice.
"Uma helped me see that." Oh boy.
"Ben, Uma captured you." Ben shrugged at his girlfriend- wait no ex-girlfriend? "She's an angry girl with a bad plan." The demi-god's eyes widened, he was digging his own grave.
"She's not so different from you when you came to Auradon." Yup, and that's how you die ladies and gentlemen, the girl thought.
She decided that she heard enough as she glanced at Percy on her left, who was leaning in his seat, eyes closed, chest rising rapidly.
"I'm just going to do it before the adrenaline wears off. Wanna go to the Cotillion with me?" Percy opened his eyes and looked down at the girl as he groaned, "No, I was supposed to be the one asking, not you!"
The blond's eyebrows shoot up. "I was supposed to ask you on our date, but then this happened. So can you just forget what happened just a few seconds ago?"
"Okay?" The blond was confused, so he didn't want to go to the event with her? The high of adrenalin wore off and her head filled with doubts, did he even like her? Did he-
"Madelyn Lovely Goddaughter, will you do me the honor and go with me to the Cotillion?" The girl broke out into a big smile as she looked up at the Pan boy, "Yes, Percy William Pan, I will go to the ship party thing with you."
The older boy leaned down and kissed the girl softly, his one hand holding her neck up, as she kissed him back.
Suddenly the sound of a picture being taken and a small 'aww' broke the pair out of their trace. They both turned to see Evie holding her phone up with a big smile on her face. They both totally forgot that they were in the car with Lonnie, Ben and the vks.
"Seriously?" Percy asked with a raised eyebrow and the blue haired girl just shrugged, "I thought you'd want to remember this moment?"
The boy chuckled, resting his right arm on Madelyn's shoulder, "Oh, I'll remember this moment, alright." And then, "But, send me that photo the moment we get back."
The blond smiled resting her head on his shoulder, but the smile disappeared the moment she faced the window. She had waited for this moment, to finally share a kiss with Cy since she was a kid, but it didn't feel right.
There weren't any fireworks, not even little sparks. He was too gentle, it almost felt like she was some sort of doll. Itdidn'tfeelright, was all the demi-god could think of as she looked out the window, seeing the streets of the Isle.
Maybe after all Percy Pan was not Madelyn's Goddaughter's person.
LONNIE AND MADELYN looked at each other excitedly. It was finally happening.
The blond leaned in the doorway listening to Jay, "You know I come from the isle, right? Where things are pretty whack. No, there is one thing that the Isle's got on Auradon, If you're strong we want you on our side, girl or boy."
Chand leaned into the vk, "Hey, Jay, hold there. We don't... we don't break rules here in Auradon."
The dark haired boy pulled out the rule book and started reading, "The team shall be comprised of a captain, a co-captain, and eight men."
Lonnie quickly squeezed her friend's hand before letting go and taking a deep breath, the blond doing the same.
"So, uh... give it up for your new team captains."
The girls confidently entered the small arena as the others stared at them confused, some with playful amusement in their eyes.
Jay hands the rule book to Mads and turns to Lonnie, but before giving the demi-god a fistbump. The boy started clapping and bowed to the girls, the others joining in as well, except Chad who just stood. One look from the blond co-captain, made him sign and mumble 'fine' before copying his teammates.
The girls laughed, doing their handshake, before Lonnie yelled, "Give us ten, come on guys! Show us what you've got."
"But, you saw us train, you know what we've got," Chad whined as Madelyn pressed her foot against the Charming's back, "Ten more for, Chad. Anyone else?"
Silence. "Good, that's what I thought."
AUTHORS NOTE I just want to say something. Mads has been in love with Percy almost her whole life, while she met Harry just around a day ago. So it's natural that she would still want to go to the Cotillion with him and kiss him back. And if I get any hateful comments towards Mads, they will be deleted, because she's my child, thank you.
