ACT II CHAPTER 𝐗𝐈𝐈
(Madelyn)

"YOU ASSHOLE, YOU'RE not dad! You don't have the same potential as him! You could have died!" Madelyn hits her brother before crashing him into a huge hug.

"I could have, but I didn't." Ani cheekily smiles before his sister hits him again, "Don't ever do that again! Capise?"

He smiled down at his sister who had a stern expression on her face, "Capise, Lovely. But you do know that I'm training to become a Protector, right?"

She sighed, "Yeah, I'm still ignoring that."

"She's not usually this violent. But I'd advise you not to piss her off, like Ani here did." Jay said and Mad's eyes widened, forgetting that she was waiting here for the fresh-blood vks. Evie asked her if she could help them adjust and she gladly agreed.

Quickly letting go of her brother's shirt's collar she straightened up and faced a pair of twins who were staring at her with slightly horrified expressions, a girl with a colorful outfit who had a smirk plastered on her face, that had mischief swarming her eyes, and the last new vk, another girl with a cute hairstyle, was standing amazed at Evie's castle-like house.

"I'm Madelyn Goddaughter. You can call me Mads if you'd like."

"So, you're his sister?" The one with mischieft asked. The blond girl smirked, "Yeah, I'm the better sibling if you couldn't tell. Come on, I bet you guys are excited to try out some things."

"As if," Her brother rolled his eyes with a clear attitude in his tone and Mads fell back to walk with Evie who wide-eyed asked, "Did he just quote 'Clueless'?"

"Huh, so those movie nights I forced him into, paid off," The blond said before bursting out laughing along with the blue haired vk.

THE GROUP OF five silently waited for the new vks opinions. There was one box one Havawain pizza and the other one was pepperoni. Carlos and Madelyn were on Peperoni side while Ani, Jay, and Evie were stone-cold Hawaiian pizza supporters.

After the new four were comfortable, Mads made sure that their first meal in Auradon was pizza. Soon after the argument started, which pizza was better? Eventually, the older five decided to let the younger ones decide.

"I vote pinaple," Celia said and Evie high-fived Ani, while the other two groaned.

"I think I like the Peperoni one more." But their sadness was over quickly as Dizzy chose the better side, in Madelyn's opinion.

"Dizzy! You traitor!" Evie gaped at her friend who just shrugged snatching another piece of pizza, while slurping her coke.

So now it was up to the twins. "The pinaple one is better right?" The demi-god rolled her eyes and hit her brother, "Ow, why are you so violent today?!"

"Stop trying to bribe them or something! Let them have their own opinions for Zeus's sake."

"I'm not bribing them! I'm just telling them the right option!"

"Yeah, right!" Madelyn crossed her arms as her brother did the same. They both were the exact same in some areas, such as their character and looks. They were each other's variants, just different gender.

"Guys! They've decided." The siblings shared another glare before heading back to their sides.

"I like the meat one."

"I like the fruit one." They said simultaneously and the older five groaned, it was a tie.

"Technically there's more of us-"

"Shut up, Anicetus." Carlos and Madelyn said together, before opening a box of a neutral, Mozzarella pizza.

HOURS HAVE PASSED but the twins were still in the kitchen. Madelyn stood up, excusing herself from the rest of the group which were chatting in the living room and headed towards the kitchen.

She leaned on the entry way, finding the two twins trying to make something. "You need help?" She asked.

The pair quickly turned around with scared expressions on their faces and the blond chuckled, "Hey, it's okay, you're not in trouble. I can actually help you, if you tell me what you are doing?"

The two twins shared a look before gesturing for her to come. And the older girl did just that, her brows knitted as she took a good look at the kitchen, more specifically the kitchen table with many different candies.

"Are you guys making a-"

"-we're making candy pizza." The twins finished for her. Both of them scanned the girl's face, to see if she would be mad, but she was just the opposite.

"So, where are we starting?" She asked as she tied her hair up in a ponytail.

"Oh god, this is the worst and best thing I have ever tasted." Said Madelyn as she chewed the group's ridiculous dish.

During the hour that the three made the abomination of a pizza, the two vk's learned to trust the Goddaughter. She didn't get mad when they forgot to close the freezer, making all of the food in there warm up.

Or when they accidentally got tons of flour in her hair and instead of yelling at them she simply started laughing and did the same to the twins.

Shortly said, during the little time they've spent with her, they have gotten to trust the girl.

So that's why the left twin said this, "When Harry told us he met an angel we thought lied."

And the right one continued for him, "But you're pretty and nice, so I guess he didn't lie."

Madelyn chocked on her bite. After taking a sip of Sprite, wide eyed, she asked the twins, "You know Harry Hook?"

The twins simultaneously nodded, "Yeah, our daddy was Captain Hook's right hand."

"He took care of us back there."

The demi-god's eye's softened. Maybe, he wasn't that bad. Shaking her head she interrogated the young vks as they took a piece each of the weird food combination, "And he called me an angel?"

The two boys nodded again, making Madelyn lean back in her chair, repeating the same words all over again in her head; Harry Hook was not her soulmate, he couldn't be.
