seven weeks later
"ICAN'TBELIEVE it's finally happening!" Evie said while looking at the mirror in Mad's and Esme's dorm, although the latter is not in the room right now.
"Yeah, finally Ben will do this and he won't bother me anymore about 'What if she rejects me' or 'What if I mess up the speech and she decides she doesn't want want to be with me anymore?' or "What if she loves someone else?'. I mean you would think that the guy would not worry anymore about those things after she literally saved him with a true love's kiss, but no!"
Evie chuckled at her blond friend. Madelyn was stoked that Ben was finally proposing, but his doubts had been driving his best friend crazy.
"Well, I think it's cute."
"Of course you do. You have Doug for a boyfriend." The blond rolled her eyes while getting up and turning away from her friend, missing the uncertain expression on the vk's face, who was having a mental battle about whether to tell her close friend the new feelings she had started to have about her brother or not.
"C'mon let's go, you look perfect as usual," Madelyn said as she took her friend's hand, snapping the blue haired girl out of her thoughts.
MADELYNSTOODBESIDE the former rulers of Auradon, who were like her second parents. On the blond's other side stood Evie Grimhilde, who held the girl's left hand, instead of Doug's as she normally did.
"Here they come!" Evie whispered to the blond who squealed before turning her attention to the beautiful couple. The band started playing as people cheered for the King and the vk.
As Mal and Ben walked on the platform, the blond girl caught the girlfriend's gaze and sent a wink in her direction.
"Bibity-bobity boo. One, two. One two. Can everyone hear me?" The Fairy Godmother asked around and the crowd replied in cheers, as Jane just chuckled at her mother, holding Carlo's hand and said, "Yes."
The older woman handed the king a golden microphone who immediately used it, "Thank you, Fairy Godmother. What's up, Auradon?" Mads cheered once again, along with the crowd as she looked up to her best friend who looked down at her with a nervous smile. She laughed sending a thumbs up in his direction.
"Thank you. Thank you so much, for coming out to welcome our new arrivals."
Suddenly she felt someone breathing down her neck as she turned to see her brother who was panting behind her, "Am I late?"
"Just a tad bit. But you haven't missed anything, yet." Madelyn said, looking away from Ani. She heard Evie scold him about being late to everything all the time, it was quite hypocritical of her considering she was late to events all the time. Now that the girl really thought, they were the same as much as they were different.
