ACT II CHAPTER XIV
( Madelyn )

"OKAY, SO WHAT'S the plan?" Madelyn asked while drying her hair.

"Well, I'll go to check in on my mom," Jane said as the blond threw her friend a towel to dry herself also, "You'll be fine doing that alone? I'll get Mal and the others." She nodded and the friends bit their goodbyes as Mads grabbed her things, and opened the car door.

𝕮racking her neck, the blond got out of her car. Evie's house was quiet. Too quiet to have four young residents and a bunch of teenagers. The girl gasped as she found the kids passed out. Madelyn immediately rushed to their sides and sighed in relief as she felt their pulses.

The blond's brows knitted as she realized that the mischievous girl from earlier was missing. Pulling out her phone, she groaned at the zero bar sign, forgetting that the service was gone. This day just kept getting worse and worse. "You're here! I will not go mad!"

Medelyn's eyes widened as she looked down to meet Carlo's dog, "Dude! Where is everyone?"

"Well, Mal became an old hag, so she and the rest, including Celia, went to the Isle to get Hade's amber. They should be back now, I'm going to look for them, you comin'?" Before the demi-god could process the information, Dude was already out the door.

Mads glanced at her phone again, before running after the dog, "Hey, wait up!"

THE BLOND AND the dog walked around the asleep students. She wondered if her brother was sleeping too. She didn't think her parents were, not that she knew if the curse reached further than Auradon, but either way, her mother was a goddess and her father was a demi-god, so she didn't think that they could be effected.

Wait, could the scepter even affect her? After all, she was a demi-god herself. Mads was so lost in her thoughts she didn't even realize that Dude was gone until now, "Dude? Oh for Zeus's sake! Where have you gone now?"

She finally spotted the dog and a smile spread on her face when she noticed her white-haired friend, "Carlos!" The girl ran to her friend and hugged him, who hugged her back immediately. After pulling away he asked, "How are you not asleep?"

"Oh, that's completely on Jane."

"Is she okay?" Madelyn smiled at Carlos nodding, "She's fine. She went to search for her mother. Your girlfriend is fine." The relief was evident on his face, grateful for his friend who calmed his worries. He knew that Jane could perfectly take care of herself, but he couldn't help, but worry.

The blond noticed Jay and gave him a nod before she was engulfed in another hug, and by the perfume she guessed it was Mal. "You okay?" She whispered in Goddaughter's ear and she nodded before pulling away.

"What happened here?"

"I'll tell you what, Cy owes me twenty-five bucks. Apparently, Audrey showed up in a weird, pink, witch Halloween costume. And she was the one who stole the crown and the sceptre! Anyways, then she showed up at Jane's party, put everyone to sleep while singing a very creepy Happy Birthday song."

"Guys," Evie focused our attention on what was in front of her and it made the blond gasp. Hannah, one of the band members who she was vaguely familiar with, was standing there, covered in stone. No, she was stone.

Then suddenly the Goddaughter was hyper-aware of a stare that burned her back. Turning  around she gasped again. In front of her, couple feet away, stood Hook. Was I imagining this? But then she noticed Uma and the other familiar pirate beside around the backyard.

He took a few steps forward, his cold, blue eyes, never leaving her's. "What are you doing here?" Madelyn asked, but it came out as a whisper. Everything was too much, but at the same time, it was like it was just them.

"I told you it was not over, yet, Sunshine."

Madelyn couldn't help but take him in. Instead of his red pirate coat, he had a long sleeveless black one, that had accents of dark crimson red. For a second, the blond thought that it was blood. He also wore tattered jeans that he somehow made look hot. She also couldn't ignore the large amount of silver jewelry.

While The demi-god did that, Harry couldn't help, but stare at the girl in front of him. Seeing her on the Isle was one thing, but here? In her space, she looked radiant. Her tanned exposed shoulders were mostly covered up, but the pirate could see bits of black ink. Her hair was pinned to her head, still somewhat wet. His mouth formed a smirk, when he noticed the scarlet streaks in her hair. The color awfully reminded him of his old coat.

"Hey, back off, Harry." Jay's voice snapped both of them out of their stares, as the son of Jafar stood protectively in front of his blond friend. The said guy raised his hands defensively in the air, but his eyes glimmered with wickedness, making goosebumps spread throughout Madelyn's body. She knew from that look that he wasn't bored of her yet.

She stepped closer to Carlos and turned her head away from Hook, before asking, "Why are they here? Because last time I saw them, they kidnapped me and Ben."

"Harry and Gil escaped, and Uma has the Amber," Mal explained, but Mads was still confused. She thought over the possibility of using the Amber, but only Hades or his direct descendants could use it.

The demi-god glanced again at the stone Hannah and decided that she would voice her questions later.

"Look since we're here, let's search the school." Uma said.

"No. Audrey went straight for the crown. So I think it's safe to assume that she's gonna go for Ben and his castle next. That's where we'll go." Argued Mal. The demi-god tried to listen to the conversation, or well the brewing argument, but the gaze of the pirate made her want to hide. At least that's what she made herself think.

"Says who?" Uma raised her eyebrow.

The blond rolled her eyes knowing that an argument between the two leaders would not end nicely, so she spoke up, "Okay, let's try this. If you were a good girl, suddenly turned bad, would you A: Go and chill at your school's dorm, or would you B: Go and place a curse on your ex?"

When the blond girl put it like that Uma did seem to realize that maybe Mal's option was a tad bit more logical, not that she would ever tell her that. The Auradon four glanced around before following their blond friend, who was already walking away. Soon after the other vks joined.

As the group went in Bens Castle's direction, Carlos caught up with Madelyn, who looked a bit uncomfortable. Trying to lighten up the mood he shook his head, "God, I sometimes forget that you're related to Hades."

"My relation to him has nothing to do with this. It's just simple girl math." She shrugged, but the stare of Harry Hook has not left her yet.
