Older 📖

Four year age gap between Jake and Sunghoon.

Sunghoon has been 20 for a while now. Not for long and he already hates dating 20 to 21 year olds. Sunghoon would say he has a mature mind, his friends agree too. Sunghoon has trouble finding people who are smarter than him to take the weight off his shoulders.

So for that Niki suggested, someone older.

"What?" Everyone asked in confusion. They were all currently sitting at Jungwon and Jays house since it was a Friday night.

"Well wouldn't someone older be more mature and be able to take the weight off your shoulders?" Niki explained, confused why that would be so weird.

"That's not what we are talking about, we are talking about how much older?" Jay explained and Niki seemed to think for a second.

"Not too old?" They all shook their head at the younger.

"What about you Sunghoon, do you think you would be comfortable dating someone older than you when you've only dated around your age?" Heeseung rubbed Sunghoons arm.

"I guess whomever I find interesting I won't prioritize our age gap since if I really fall in love then he has to be perfect; you know me I don't fall easily." Sunghoon pouted his lips together; he wasn't pouting or anything it's just his thinking face.

"Why not go to a bar then? I'm sure there will be plenty of guys there!" Sunoo offered the solution as the others agreed.

And that's how they ended up in front of the bar. Is this really how I'll find my one? Sunghoon didn't find it likely and it's not a cute story to tell children either. He shrugged and went in anyway.

He looked around as his friends went to the bar, Sunghoon wasn't interested in drinking tonight. As much as he doesn't want to speak to a soul in here he knows his friends will be sulky if he doesn't. Since they aren't heavy drinkers and mostly drink in social settings he knew they could handle themselves.

After a couple conversations with a few sober guys he decided maybe he should stop. Nobody was standing out and half these guys were his age; not what he was looking for. Since he didn't want to talk to a overly enthusiastic drunk man, he left the bar and decided to take a walk around it.

He kicked a rock as he was walking, he didn't really know where he was going. Just anywhere but that bar. His friends will last maybe a hour or two so he will head back when he needs to. With his hands in his pockets and his eyes watching his feet move and a new part of the sidewalk appear again and again.

*BUMP*

He stumbled back. Thinking he idiotically hit a pole or something. When he looked up he saw a man instead of a pole. His hair was a black colour and it was parted with little waves in it while it continued to look classy. His outfit was a plain jacket that went over his white shirt while he had black pants on with white shoes. Somehow with how plain it sounds it was so beautiful to Sunghoon.

"I'm so sorry!" Sunghoon bowed, great the only hot guy you meet tonight and you start with a bad impression. Sunghoon scolded himself.

"Please no need, you seem to be lost. Do you know where you are?" Do i really look that lost? Sunghoon looked around, he was in fact lost.

"I uh- yes I am. Do you happen to know where we are?" Sunghoons eyes pleaded so softly, the male couldn't turn it down.

"I do, where were you last?"

"I was at the *** bar with friends." The man nodded, "come with me then" Sunghoon mindlessly followed him, he's lucky he's a good guy or he could be getting taken to his death right now.

As they were walking the man spoke up. "I'm Sim Jaeyun, better known as Jake" He smiled at Sunghoon who's heart was beating even quicker.

"I'm Park Sunghoon, thank you Jake" Jake shook his head, maybe to shake off the cold breeze but Sunghoon couldn't make a confirmed guess.

"How old are you?" He asked. "I'm 20" Sunghoon replied, "how about you?"

"I'm 24"

Sunghoon on the inside was super happy. He almost couldn't contain it but remembering he already had a bad first impression was enough to stop him.

"Well you're 20 so what were you up to at the bar?" Jake was making small talk as Sunghoon was thankful or this would be quite awkward.

"Embarrassingly enough I went to the bar with my friends to meet a guy who I could fall in love with. I talked to plenty of guys but I never liked any of them." Sunghoon pouted at how he really failed tonight.

"Well the night isn't over and you've just met me." Sunghoons ears went pink. Is he flirting? Sunghoon calmed down and somehow managed to keep talking.

"You're right." He smirked, he didn't know where this confidence was coming from.

"Since none of the guys at the bar are giving you any interest why don't you try with me?" Jake stopped as they both stared into each others eyes.

"You've already gotten most of the boxes checked off Mr. Sim. You wouldn't happen to be perfect would you?" A smirk crept on to Jakes face.

"For you I'm sure I would be perfect." Jake had extended a hand, one with a piece of paper in it. "Let's meet up tomorrow for a date?"

Sunghoon took the paper and saw a valid looking number on it, "why not?" He replied and Jake smiled.

They continued their walk back. Never ending conversations as well. As they came up on the bar sign, meaning they were close, they stopped.

"I'll see you tomorrow Sunghoon" Jake smiled at Sunghoon who smiled sweetly back, "cya tomorrow Jake-hyung" with that Sunghoon walked back to the bar and Jake walked the other way.

Sunghoon saw his friends standing in a circle all with their phones out while outside the bar. He was confused but pulled out his phone and saw,

2 unread texts from Sunoo

5 unread texts from Jungwon

3 unread texts from Niki

1 missed call from Heeseung

He saw Jays caller ID pop up on his phone again so he answered it.

"WHAT THE HELL SUNGHOON?" Jay yelled into the phone.

"Clam down angry bird." Sunghoon heard a gasp from the other side.

"What do you mean calm down? Where are you?" Jungwon cut Jay off, "ARE YOU OKAY?" Jungwon seemed terrified.

"Well your questions could be answered if you look to Heeseungs right." He watched all the boys look at Heeseung and to his right to see Sunghoon standing there. The call was hung up.

"Where were you!?" Niki held on to Sunghoon as if he would run away.

"I took a walk since guys in there were boring." Sunghoon held back on to Niki, rubbing his hair in attempt to calm the boy.

"So nobody caught your eye at all tonight?" Jungwon asked and Sunghoon immediately thought of someone.

"Nope, nobody." The others didn't seem too sulky since Sunghoon did try to talk to other people. He felt bad for lying but how is he supposed to know if he will ever be serious with Jake.

I'll tell them after the date. He decided and they all finally went home.

Falling to sleep that night was hard. How was he supposed to fall asleep when he found such a perfect guy and is going on a date tomorrow with him.
