-Juno's POV-

I felt like a deer staring down a hunter in the woods as my mate looked at me. My wolf perked up at her presence. Glowing eyes regarded me warmly and my fascination grew when I noticed one of her eyes was red and the other was gold. She seemed more wolf than woman right now. Taking a deep breath my wolf gave me the information I needed. She was a vampire and wolf hybrid.

"Hi..." I squeaked

"Hello" She all but purred, shaking her head. Her fangs clicked up and her eyes returned to their beautiful crimson colour.

I barely registered the three other teachers leave the room to give us some privacy as my my closed the distance between us. She was lean and tall with pale skin. Red eyes holding so much affection for me even though we had just met.

"Shall we introduce ourselves, or keep awkwardly staring" I chuckled, as my mate looked down awkwardly and rubbed the back of her neck in nervousness.

"I'm Selene Von Touran, I'm the schools counsellor" My mate introduced, straightening up before bowing with a flourish.

Giggling at the corny display I tapped her on the shoulder, waiting for her to stand tall before I introduced myself.

"Juno Sakatori, I teach the magic class here"

"It's nice to meet you, Juno" Selene grinned, my name had never sounded better until she had spoken it.

"You too, Selene" I agreed.

We stared at each other a few moments longer, neither of us knowing how to really proceed from here. A sudden thought struck me, I'm sure the lunch bell had just sounded.

"I'm sorry Selene, I have to rush to my next class" I rushed out not really wanting to leave her but I didn't want to get fired.

Rushing out of the room a gasp escaped me as Selene's hand closed around my wrist. Sparks passing between where our skin was touching. Pleasure nearly clouded over my mind as I shuddered. Shaking my head I looked back at her in confusion, I smiled softly as she blushed and her hands shot up in surrender.

"Come with me for dinner after work today, nothing fancy just a casual outing, no pressure if not" Selene was flustered as she spoke.

Selene's eyes were darting back and forth and a bead of sweat was starting to roll down from her hair line. It was adorable how nervous she was.

"I'd love too, see you later my Selene" I agreed, winking at my flustered mate before I had to rush to my classroom.

I was practically floating on air as I walked back to my classroom. After yesterdays accident I was excited to teach Colette better control. I had scented the young she-wolf on my mate and had hoped the counsellor had gave her some good advice. Taking a steading breath when I got to my classroom, my wolf was practically screaming at me to go back to my mate. Pushing open the door I put on my best friendly smile.

"Oh Colette, you're so cute, I didn't know you're wolf would be so small" I heard one of the students gush as I walked to the front of the classroom.

Scanning the classroom, I grinned as Colette's blonde wolf was being loved on by the class. They didn't seem afraid of her like this and it warmed my heart to see Colette's tail thumping wildly in happiness. I hate to interrupt them but I had a class to teach. Clearing my throat, I chuckled as several of the students jumped in surprise.

"Sorry I'm late class, follow me to the gym and we'll get started on todays lesson.

I got a chorus of yes miss as the students all shuffled towards the front of the classroom and I lead them out of the class toward the gym. My classroom wasn't that far from the gym so we all go there within a couple of minutes. As the kids filed in I did a head count, the last ones in was Colette's little wolf and the Fae hybrid Ace. The Pixie and witch-wolf seemed to be getting along better.

Closing the gym double doors behind the class I turned towards the students.

"Now who's ready to do more control training. But first can Ace and Colette come here and I'll explain what went wrong yesterday" I called.

"Yes miss" Ace responded, followed by a yip from Colette as they came forward the rest of the class giving them a wide birth.

"So the spell, was a simple water ball, the least dangerous spell to practice with" I began, holding out my hand and drawing in a breath.

Focusing on creating a drop of water and then making it bigger, the size of a football now floating above my hand.

"Water is tricky, it's ever changing, ebbing and flowing, at once both flexible and rigid" I explained, manipulating the flow of my magic to make the water into different shapes, a star, a cylinder and then hardening it to a spear of ice.

"So what does that mean" Ace questioned, as Colette tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"It means that even without an incantation, your thoughts and emotions can effect your spells, yes they're more powerful but that means you trade off for weaker control" I finish.

"So what you're saying is that Colette struggles with control because of how strong her magic is and her negative emotions make it harder" Ace muses, looking down at Colette's wolf as it let out a whine.

"More or less, but having friends will help her gain better control, werewolves are social creatures so Colette's isolation is manifesting poor magic control" I explain.

"We'll try to be better friends miss" another student from the class pipes up.

Nodding at her I launched the icicle spear into the air, closing my fist and causing the spear to become snow and fall. Several students let out impressed sounds as the magic snow fell.

"Now" Clapping my hands together I gave the students their assignment.

"We'll be practicing water manipulation, Colette you can stay as a wolf for this class but make sure you're human for the practical exams" I state, chuckling as the young wolf nods her head, before she bounded further into the gym with Ace on her heels.

I watched as they each had varying degrees of success, going around the room I corrected forms, gave tips for better control and told them how to visualise the way they wanted the water to be. The Vampire Witch Mike had the most control with water and It made me wonder if it was to do with his vampire gift. He had great control but not nearly as much magic to contend with as the fae students. The lesson went smoothly and I gave out homework to do an assignment for next week on water manipulation. I had two more classes to go before home time and I couldn't wait I had been asked on my first ever date, by my mate no less.
