-Selene's POV-
I was bored again. It had been a week since I had been posted at the school and while three students had taken the initiative to come and see me the others seemed to still need time. I knew more students were hurting but I couldn't do anything about it unless they sought out my help. Maybe a nap would help. Pushing up from my desk I walked over to my door and flipped my sign.
Taking a thirty minute break.
It was still lesson time so I doubted any students would be along before lunch and lucky for me there were two lessons back to back in the schedule at this time in the day. Setting up an alarm I yawned. Walking over to the window I crouched and let the shift overtake me. Wiggling free of my clothes I snorted happily as I shook out my fur. It had been a while since I had shifted. I wanted to run but I was at work. Hell even shifting at work would be frowned upon in other places. However the bed had been specifically provided for me. The principle had told me so on my second day. Walking into the bed I twirled several times. Nosing at the soft material as my wolf pushed at me to continue the sleeping ritual.
Flopping down on the bed I yawned whining as I did so. Snuggling into the soft plush mattress I laid my head down. Letting out a relaxed sigh I let my eyes slip closed.
-Dream-
Growling at my brother as he tugged the rope toy from my jaws I snapped my teeth at him. Cocky idiot. Swiping at him he bounded away from me. His silver fur shinning in the sun as he flicked his white ear towards me. Snarling I chased after him and pounced. Causing us to fall over each other head over tail. We tussled for several minutes before I came away with the toy. Helios had let me win but I curled my tail anyway in a show of dominace and trotted away with my head held high. It was a fun family day out and I dodged as Helios tried to tackle me. My wolf enjoying herself as she played with her sibling.
We played for a while before our shifts gave up the competition and we were called over for dinner. My dads smiling at us in joy. I wagged my tail as I raced to join them for the barbecue that I was only now smelling. Our game was more engrossing than I realised.
-End of Dream-
The alarm I had set on my desk pulled me out of my dream abruptly. Grumbling softly I yawned and stretched out. Standing up I shifted and quickly pulled on my clothes. Rising to my full human height I raised my arms over my head I heard my back pop. Groaning I turned towards the door. Walking over I opened the door and took of my break note. Shutting the door I went back to my desk and started to read one of my books. It was titled 'All types of werewolf hybrids and their needs that are currently known'
I read for a while before the lunch bell rang and startled me out of my book. I waited for a while before I heard a familiar hesitant knock at my door.
"Come in" I called out.
I smiled softly as Colette pushed open the door. The little witch-wolf seemed frazzled as she shut the door behind her. Magic sparking heavily from her.
"Hi Miss Selene" Colette sighed as she plopped down in the chair in front of my desk.
"Wanna talk about it" I asked in gentle encouragement.
She took several deep breaths her magic bouncing in and off her skin before she sighed. Her magic settling as she spoke.
"I lost control in miss Juno's class again and hit Ace" Colette whimpered her magic flaring again in her upset. Her scent taking on a remorseful quality.
"Is he alright" I questioned softly changing my pheromones to comforting.
I watched Colettes shoulders relax as my pheromones took affect. It was my gift I could use my pheromones to influence people. I could make them happy, sad, angry and so much more. Though I mainly used my scent to put patients at ease.
"He was alright, his injury healed almost immediately but he looked at me like I had attacked him on purpose. All the other kids avoid me cause I'm dangerous. Even with miss Juno teaching me control my heightened emotions still cause stray magic to jump from me" Colette sniffed, tears gathering in her eyes as sadness clogged the room.
"Colette, you don't mean to hurt them I'm sure they know that" I respond.
"They don't, I don't even have any friends. I feel alone and it hurts my wolf. Wolves are pack oriented and friends and family are important" Colette sighed, her shoulders drooping.
"I know, I'm part wolf too and I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have my family" I agreed, pumping out more comforting pheromones.
"I Just" Colette sniffed, tears gathering in her eyes.
I could smell frustration, sadness and loathing rolling of her in waves, even with my pheromones dampening her emotions. My wolf whimpered in my mind as she tried to reach out to Colette's' wolf to comfort her. Confusion lit up my thoughts when I got barely a response from her wolf.
"Colette, how long has it been since you let wolf out" I prompted gently.
Looking up at me Colette's eyes widen as if she had forgotten something.
"A week maybe two, my magic is so strong she normally takes a back seat" Colette replied, her fingers dancing on her lap in nervousness.
"You need to let her out Colette, she can share in your burden and help with magic control, Do me a favour and be a wolf for the rest of the day. If your peers see your other side I'm sure you'll be able to make some friends" I advised the young witch-wolf.
"Okay, Miss Selene" Colette agreed and before I could say another word she was a small wolf nosing out of her clothes and backpack.
Her scent became stronger tenfold and I finally realised why her scent was so much like my dads. As her blonde wolf finally freed itself I had to hold in a coo. She was an omega and I had to resist the urge to scoop her up and love on her. Wolf instincts were no joke.
I helped Colette pack her clothes into her backpack and opened the door for her. She yelped as the bell to end lunch rang out. I smiled sympathetically as she looked back to glare at me. I waited at my door for several minutes before I decided it was time to get my daily coffee. Closing the door behind me I made my way to the staff room. Humming a tune to myself I pushed open the door to the staff room and my wolf was immediately on high alert as she pushed me down in order to scent the room.
Wresting back control I smiled apologetically at the three hybrids in the room before I locked eyes with the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She was short and plump, she looked soft in all the right places. Her skin dark and shining. Black hair with pink curls at the bottom but I could smell no dye. Magic was even thicker on her than it was on Colette and her eyes were pink too. Breathing her in my wolf provided me with her scent and species. Wolf and fairy. Wild and magic. My fangs dropped as my throat became dry. My eyes felt itchy and I knew that they would be glowing.
"Mate" The word escaped me in a whisper.
