Chapter 27

Sana's POV

We just got back to the dorm. Jihyo told me she's sure Momo's still asleep since she stayed up late last night watching Netflix. Good to know she's still obsessed with dramas. Some things really never change.

"Unnie!!" Dubu shouted and immediately hugged me.

"Ssshh! Be quiet, someone's still sleeping upstairs," Jeongyeon scolded as she came down the stairs.

"Unnie, we missed you so much. Now where's my souvenir?" Baby Chaeng asked, giving me the classic puppy eyes. Hahaha, so cute.

I couldn't help but smile at them. They really haven't changed at all.

"I missed you all so much too. Sorry it took me a while to come back. Dad made me do a ton of work, but thank goodness he finally let me come home," I told them.

"That's okay, unnie. What matters is that you're here now," Tzuyu said sweetly.

Her words made me smile. I was just so happy to see them all again and be with them.

"Oh, and by the way, all the souvenirs are over there. Go ahead and pick what you want. I'll go upstairs first, okay? I missed her." I told them and started heading up. I was carrying a small gift for Momo too—I really hope she likes it.

When I entered her room, she really was still sleeping. I wanted to hug her right away, but I was scared she'd get mad if I woke her up. Hahaha. So I quietly placed the stuffed toy I brought at the foot of her bed. Her and Jeongyeon have tons of plushies, but I think she'll still like what I picked. It's a pink pig. She loves pink, so I'm sure this will be her style.

She looked dead asleep. Not even moving. I couldn't help it anymore. I just had to hug her. I missed her so much. So, I climbed into bed and hugged her tightly from behind. Now I can finally say—I'm home.

Momo's POV

I've actually been awake for a while now, just too lazy to get up, so I kept my eyes closed. A few minutes ago, someone came into the room and placed something at my feet. Probably a stuffed toy? I didn't bother checking since I was sure it was just Jeongyeon grabbing something. But then... everything went quiet—and suddenly, someone slid into bed next to me and hugged me. Eh?

When I opened my eyes, I saw...

"Sana?!"

Okay. I must be dreaming. I probably fell back asleep or something. Classic Momo—always dreaming about her. Ugh.

She just stared at me with a smile. Wait. This has to be a hallucination, right? So I rubbed my eyes, thinking she'd disappear... but nope. She was still there. Then she laughed.

"You're acting ridiculous. I'm real. You're actually hugging me, you know. Hahaha," she said.

Whaaaaat!! She's actually here?!?

"Sanaaaa!!" I cried and hugged her even tighter. I wanted to bawl from how happy I was. I missed her so, so much. My Sana is finally back!

"Is this really happening? What if I'm just dreaming again... What if I'm setting myself up just to be let down," I said softly.

She just laughed again and sat up on the bed.

"This is real. Now get up already. It's almost noon and you're still sprawled out like a lump," she teased.

"Why did it take you so long? I felt like I was dying every single day wondering if you'd ever come back. It's been over two months, Sana..." I said, my voice cracking.
