juniper walked down the hallway with betty, kevin, ethel, and veronica. her heart was racing. she wanted to know if she was in that playbook. veronica was talking but she didn't care about what she was saying. "color me impressed," said a voice. they all jumped and turned around to see cheryl blossom holding a flashlight just like them. "a b and e with b and v. what would your holy roller mother say about this, betty," asked cheryl. "what are you doing here, cheryl," asked betty. "and where did you get those thigh-high boots? they're amazing," said kevin. "trev told valerie, who told josie, who told ginger, who told tina, who told me. and i thought i would help out," said cheryl, strutting towards them. "help? or derail our investigation," asked betty. "get over yourself, betty," cheryl said, pointing her flashlight in betty's face. "hey guys, get in here," said ethel, pulling a book out of a locker.

"trev was right. they didn't even bother to hide it," said ethel, looking through the pages. "new girl? is that was im reduced to? nine points," said veronica. "better than "big girl." seven point five," said ethel. betty then spoke, "polly's in this book..." "next to jason's name," said cheryl. betty walked out of the huddle. "this isn't... jason would never..." spoke cheryl. "it's right there, cheryl! god... your brother hurt my sister! this is was guys like jason and chuck think about women. we're objects for them to abuse! and when they're done with us, they shame us into silence. they have zero remorse for the lives they destroy," said betty. "maybe i don't know jason," mumbled cheryl. she turned off her flashlight and walked out of the huddle too. "i'll take a picture. we'll show it to weatherbee. it'll be the perfect cover for you guys' expose, betty. juniper," said veronica. "yeah, but... no. these girls deserve justice, don't you think, cheryl," said betty. juniper tuned out what they were saying as ethel handed her the book.

she scanned through the pages without seeing her name. she thought she was in the clear until... well... until she saw her name. she froze as her eyes widened. she dropped the book and begun to cry. she's cried, but not this hard. she cried crocodile tears. she felt so hurt. the girls ran to her as betty looked at the book and saw her name. "n-no! don't look at it," juniper's trembling voice said, her voice broken. betty stared at it and looked at juniper. juniper's heart broke when she saw betty's horrified face. she was terrified of what she might be thinking of her, but that all changed when betty hugged her. it was so tight. it was like betty wasnt planning on letting go. juniper hugged back as she cried some more, the girls comforting her. "you want vengeance? you wanna go full dark, no stars, veronica? i'm with you. and i have a plan," said betty.
